About StoryGen
StoryGen (storygen.agency) is a fast growing B2B lead generation agency that builds and manages outbound sales teams for companies across a range of industries. Cold calling is at the core of what we do, supported by structured processes, modern sales technology, automation, and AI-powered tools.
Strong BDR performance starts with the right foundation. Effective onboarding, hands-on coaching, and consistent feedback help new team members build confidence, sharpen their skills, and become productive faster.
That’s where this role comes in.
About the Role
We’re looking for a BDR / Cold Caller Trainer to take ownership of onboarding, training, and ongoing performance coaching for our Business Development Representatives.
You’ll help new BDRs learn our cold calling process, understand our tools and workflows, strengthen their communication skills, and become confident handling real prospect conversations.
Beyond onboarding, you’ll regularly review calls, identify areas for improvement, provide actionable coaching, and help maintain strong performance standards across the team.
You’ll also work closely with Account Managers and leadership to improve training materials, strengthen our coaching processes, and develop scalable systems as the BDR team continues to grow.
Success in this position means faster ramp-up, stronger call quality, consistent process adoption, and better overall BDR performance.
We’re open to candidates from different backgrounds. Formal training experience is valuable, but it isn’t the only path. Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, facilitating, or helping others improve whether through previous roles, internships, university organizations, or other leadership experiences can also be a strong fit.
What You'll Do
Onboard & Train New BDRs
•Lead onboarding and training sessions for newly hired BDRs
•Teach cold calling fundamentals, scripts, qualification, objection handling, and conversation flow
•Introduce new hires to the tools, systems, and workflows they’ll use every day
•Establish clear expectations around KPIs, activity levels, and quality standards
•Track progress throughout the ramp-up period and provide regular feedback
•Evaluate readiness before BDRs begin independently handling campaigns
Coach BDR Performance
•Review recorded calls and provide clear, actionable feedback
•Coach BDRs on tone, confidence, communication, objection handling, and call execution
•Help team members turn scripts into natural, engaging conversations
•Identify skill gaps and create focused coaching plans
•Support BDRs who need additional guidance to improve consistency and meeting outcomes
•Reinforce strong call quality and performance standards across campaigns
Develop Training Materials
•Create and update onboarding guides, training materials, and internal resources
•Build practical call frameworks, playbooks, and objection-handling guides
•Maintain organized script libraries and training documentation
•Capture successful techniques and turn them into repeatable best practices
•Update training content as our processes, tools, and strategies evolve
•Improve training systems to make onboarding more efficient and scalable
Improve Training & Sales Enablement
•Partner with Account Managers and leadership to strengthen coaching and onboarding
•Identify recurring performance challenges and recommend training solutions
•Help implement AI-assisted call review and coaching tools
•Use feedback and performance trends to improve training programs
•Help standardize training processes as the BDR team expands
What We're Looking For
You don’t necessarily need years of formal training experience. We’re also open to recent graduates and early-career candidates who can demonstrate strong communication, leadership, coaching, mentoring, or facilitation skills through internships, university organizations, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities.
You may be a strong fit if you have:
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or guiding others
•Strong leadership skills, whether formal or informal
•Confident and clear communicator
•The ability to give clear, constructive, and actionable feedback
•A structured and organized approach to training
•A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
•Strong attention to performance and measurable improvement
•Good documentation and training-content creation skills
•A positive and motivating presence while maintaining high standards and accountability
•Experience in cold calling, telesales, BPO training, outbound sales, sales coaching, or BDR/SDR environments is a plus.
