About STEAMUP Academy

STEAMUP Academy is a growing educational organization based in Orlando, Florida. We provide hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through our K–8 school and a variety of homeschool, afterschool, Saturday, camp, and enrichment programs.

Our brand is colorful, creative, engaging, and family-focused. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented marketing professional who can help us consistently tell our story, promote our programs, reach new families, and turn marketing activity into qualified enrollment leads.

About the Role

We are looking for a **Marketing & Leads Coordinator** to manage the day-to-day execution of STEAMUP Academy's digital marketing.

This is a hands-on role.

You will design graphics and flyers, create and edit social media content, manage our social platforms, create and monitor paid advertising campaigns, engage with our online community, prepare email campaigns, support lead generation, and help ensure prospective families move from seeing STEAMUP online to becoming qualified enrollment leads.

You will work closely with STEAMUP Academy's Director and leadership team to understand current enrollment priorities and translate those priorities into effective marketing campaigns.

**This is NOT a position for someone who only schedules social media posts.**

We need someone who can design, create, publish, advertise, engage, track, and improve.

Key Responsibilities

1. Graphic Design & Creative Production

Create high-quality, on-brand marketing materials for STEAMUP Academy.

Responsibilities include:

* Design flyers, posters, banners, advertisements, and promotional materials.
* Create branded social media graphics and carousel posts.
* Design Instagram/Facebook Stories.
* Create graphics for program launches, enrollment campaigns, events, camps, and announcements.
* Design email headers and newsletter graphics.
* Create digital and print-ready marketing materials.
* Update existing designs when program dates, times, pricing, or other information changes.
* Maintain consistency across STEAMUP Academy's colors, fonts, imagery, and overall visual identity.
* Organize marketing templates and creative assets for future use.

**Strong Canva and Adobe Photoshop skills are required.**

2. Social Media Management & Content Creation

Manage STEAMUP Academy's active social media presence across agreed-upon platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant channels.

Responsibilities include:

* Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.
* Create and publish approximately **12–15 feed posts per month**.
* Maintain consistent Instagram/Facebook Story activity on agreed business days.
* Create content using photos, videos, program information, and other materials provided by STEAMUP Academy.
* Create Reels, static graphics, photo posts, carousel posts, program promotions, and other relevant content.
* Write engaging, polished captions.
* Include clear calls to action tied to enrollment, registration, events, or other campaign goals.
* Schedule and publish approved content.
* Repurpose strong content across appropriate platforms.
* Monitor content performance.
* Identify top-performing formats and topics.
* Stay current with relevant social media trends and platform changes.
* Recommend content opportunities based on performance and current trends.

Content should support STEAMUP Academy's enrollment, program, event, and brand-awareness goals—not simply fill the content calendar.

3. Video Creation & Editing

Create engaging short-form and promotional video content.

Responsibilities include:

* Edit short-form video for Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
* Turn raw STEAMUP footage into polished marketing content.
* Add captions, text, graphics, music, transitions, and branding.
* Create program highlights, event recaps, testimonials, promotional videos, and advertisements.
* Edit longer-form content when needed.
* Repurpose existing footage into multiple pieces of usable content.
* Identify strong moments within raw footage that can be used for future marketing.

Experience with **CapCut, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video-editing software** is required.

4. Paid Advertising

Help STEAMUP Academy generate qualified leads through paid digital advertising.

Responsibilities include:

* Build and launch Meta/Facebook/Instagram advertising campaigns.
* Create ad graphics and video creative.
* Write ad copy, headlines, and calls to action.
* Create and manage lead-generation campaigns.
* Monitor campaign performance.
* Track leads generated by campaigns.
* Monitor cost per lead and other relevant campaign metrics.
* Test creative, audiences, copy, and campaign approaches.
* Identify underperforming campaigns and recommend adjustments.
* Optimize active campaigns based on available performance data.
* Coordinate campaign priorities and budgets with STEAMUP leadership.
* Maintain organized records of current and past campaigns.

Google Ads experience is a plus but is not required if you have strong Meta Ads experience.

5. Lead Generation & Enrollment Support

Marketing does not end when someone submits a form.

The Marketing & Leads Coordinator is responsible for helping STEAMUP maintain an organized marketing-to-enrollment pipeline.

Responsibilities include:

* Monitor incoming marketing leads.
* Ensure leads are properly captured in designated systems.
* Maintain organized lead lists and campaign-source information.
* Monitor lead status when appropriate.
* Respond to initial digital inquiries using approved information.
* Engage with prospective families through social media comments and DMs.
* Answer routine program questions using approved information.
* Identify qualified enrollment inquiries.
* Refer qualified leads to the appropriate STEAMUP team member for direct enrollment follow-up.
* Provide the Director/program team with clear lead reports.
* Identify leads that have not received appropriate follow-up.
* Track which campaigns and channels are generating inquiries and enrollments when data is available.
* Recommend improvements to lead capture and follow-up processes.

**This position supports the enrollment funnel but is not the primary admissions or enrollment-closing position.**

The STEAMUP Academy team handles direct family enrollment conversations and final enrollment decisions.

6. Email Marketing

Support STEAMUP Academy's email marketing and lead-nurture strategy.

Responsibilities include:

* Create approximately **2–3 email newsletters per month**.
* Write newsletter and promotional email copy.
* Design branded email content.
* Include relevant calls to action.
* Prepare emails for distribution through STEAMUP's email marketing platform.
* Support enrollment, program, event, promotion, and announcement emails.
* Assist with email automation and lead-nurture campaigns.
* Maintain and update email templates.
* Monitor available open, click, and conversion data.
* Recommend improvements based on performance.

STEAMUP currently uses ActiveCampaign, experience needed.

7. Online Community Engagement

Help STEAMUP build visibility and relationships within relevant online communities.

Responsibilities include:

* Monitor comments, direct messages, and social media inquiries.
* Respond to routine questions using approved information.
* Engage appropriately with followers and community accounts.
* Monitor potential enrollment inquiries and flag qualified leads.
* Identify relevant Orlando-area parent, homeschool, education, and community Facebook groups.
* Maintain participation in selected groups.
* Share approved STEAMUP programs, events, flyers, and enrollment opportunities when permitted.
* Adapt promotional copy to individual group requirements.
* Monitor STEAMUP posts within groups for comments and inquiries.
* Identify replacement or additional groups when existing groups are not effective.

Community engagement should feel helpful and authentic rather than spammy.

8. Marketing Planning & Campaign Coordination

Work with STEAMUP leadership to translate organizational priorities into marketing activity.

Responsibilities include:

* Participate in regular marketing planning meetings.
* Develop and maintain a monthly marketing/content calendar.
* Coordinate marketing around:

* Enrollment
* Afterschool programs
* Homeschool programs
* Saturday programs
* Camps
* Events
* School recruitment
* Special programs
* Plan marketing campaigns ahead of program deadlines.
* Maintain organized marketing project lists and deadlines.
* Identify upcoming marketing needs before they become urgent.
* Recommend campaign ideas based on current enrollment goals.
* Coordinate creative assets across social media, email, paid ads, and print.

9. Performance Tracking & Reporting

Marketing decisions should be based on results, not just how content looks.

Provide regular reporting that includes:

* Content published
* Social media reach
* Engagement
* Follower growth
* Top-performing content
* Paid-ad performance
* Leads generated
* Cost per lead when available
* Email open and click performance
* Facebook/community-group activity
* Lead sources
* Enrollment conversions when trackable
* Key observations
* Recommendations for improvement
* Priorities for the upcoming month

The Coordinator should be able to explain what is working, what is not working, and what should change next.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

* At least 2 years of relevant digital marketing, social media, or content-marketing experience.

* Ability to follow an established brand while bringing creative ideas.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.

You Are a Great Fit If You...

* Are both creative and analytical.

What We Offer

* **$3.00–$5.00 USD/hour**, based on experience and demonstrated skills.
* Full-time, stable, long-term opportunity.
* Remote work.
* Consistent Monday–Friday schedule aligned with U.S. Eastern Time.
* Opportunity to take meaningful ownership of a growing educational brand.
