FirstEditing helps writers choose the right editorial path, improve the manuscript at the correct level, and prepare it professionally for publication.
This is not a random posting role. Our social media supports a larger company-owned Content Machine that connects service pages, blogs, Published Authors, newsletters, YouTube/podcast assets, and evergreen content into reusable marketing systems. The goal is traffic, trust, free sample requests, author engagement, and repeat-client growth.
You will NOT be responsible for overall strategy. You will OWN the social production and distribution layer.
Core Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Creating and scheduling social posts from approved content direction.
Creating Canva graphics inside the approved FirstEditing Canva workspace.
Scheduling posts through approved platforms, including GHL Social Planner when assigned.
Maintaining at least 30 days of planned/scheduled social content.
Managing Featured/Published Author social posts and related graphics.
Saving all source and final assets in FirstEditing-owned Google Drive folders.
Updating the social production schedule/tracker.
Checking for failed, missing, or unscheduled posts.
Sending a clear Thursday weekly report every week.
Flagging only real blockers, production risks, platform failures, or missing owner approvals.

Required Skills
Must have:
- Strong written English.
- Canva experience.
- Social media scheduling experience.
- Google Drive organization.
- Ability to follow approved source material without inventing claims.
- Reliable weekly reporting.
- Attention to detail with links, folders, dates, and post status.
- Ability to work independently after receiving an approved content handoff.
Helpful but Trainable
- GHL Social Planner.
- YouTube Community posts.
- Author promotion.
- Editing service terminology.
- Managing internal folder/tracker system.
All work MUST stay inside company-owned systems:
Canva work must be created/stored in the approved FirstEditing Canva workspace.
Google Drive is the canonical file location.
Editable/source files must remain under FirstEditing control.
Every asset must be saved with a clear folder/link.
Every scheduled post must be trackable.
No publishing/scheduling outside approved instructions.
No invented claims, pricing, guarantees, testimonials, or service definitions.
Schedule / Hours
Starting trial:
10–12 hours/week
Must be available for a weekly Thursday report.
Long-term role, if reliable.
Possible increase to 15 hours/week after proven consistency.
Pay
$6.50–$8.00/hour, depending on experience, English quality, Canva/social scheduling skill, and documentation reliability.
