JOB OVERVIEW

Full-Time Real Estate Video Editor
Remote | Philippines | Long-Term Role

We’re an Australian media company looking for an experienced full-time Real Estate Video Editor to join our team long-term.

This is not an entry-level editing role.

Your main responsibility will be editing high-quality real estate and property videos for our clients across Australia.

We produce everything from standard residential property videos through to premium homes, architectural properties, accommodation content and high-end cinematic property films.

We’re looking for someone who already has strong editing fundamentals, excellent creative judgement and a fast, reliable workflow.

WHAT YOU’LL BE EDITING

You’ll work on:
- Residential real estate videos
- High-end property videos
- Architectural property content
- Airbnb / accommodation videos
- Vertical reels
- Agent-presented videos
- Drone footage
- Lifestyle/property content
- Twilight and day-to-night property content where required

Most footage is shot professionally on Sony cameras in S-Log3, along with DJI drone footage.

WHAT WE EXPECT

A great property video is more than putting clips over music.

You need to understand:
- Storytelling
- Pacing
- Music selection
- Shot selection
- Strong opening hooks
- Flow through a property
- High-end cinematic editing
- Natural colour grading
- Sony S-Log3 footage
- Drone footage
- Speed ramping where appropriate
- Sound design
- Audio mixing
- Agent dialogue
- Captions and titles
- Vertical 9:16 editing
- 16:9 property videos
- Clean transitions
- Consistency across multiple jobs

We do not want excessive effects, transitions or trendy edits just for the sake of it.

Good taste and restraint are important.

SOFTWARE

You should be highly experienced with:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects where required
- Adobe Media Encoder
- Professional colour grading workflows

SPEED, VOLUME & TURNAROUND

Quick turnaround is extremely important to us.

As a benchmark, our current in-house editors can complete a standard residential property video in approximately 1.5 hours on average.

More complex, premium or agent-presented edits may take longer, but for a standard property edit we expect you to be able to work at a similar pace once you understand our workflow and style.

If you do not believe you can realistically edit a standard property video to a high professional standard in around 1.5 hours, please do not apply.

We are not looking for someone who rushes and sacrifices quality.

We’re looking for an experienced editor who has built an efficient workflow and can produce consistently strong work quickly.

You may have multiple properties to edit in the same shift, so you must be comfortable:
- Managing several projects
- Working to tight deadlines
- Turning around edits quickly
- Prioritising urgent jobs
- Making amendments promptly
- Maintaining quality when volume increases

Reliability is critical because our clients work to property listing deadlines.

WORKING WITH OUR TEAM

You’ll work remotely with our Australian production team.

You’ll receive:
- Footage
- Job briefs
- Client requirements
- Reference edits where required
- Music direction where applicable

Over time, we expect you to learn our editing style well enough that you need less direction.

We want someone who thinks and makes good decisions, not someone who needs step-by-step instructions for every edit.

AMENDMENTS

Client amendments are a normal part of the role.

You need to be comfortable receiving feedback and making changes quickly.

We want someone who:
- Takes feedback professionally
- Pays attention to detail
- Fixes issues properly
- Can turn around amendments quickly

EDITING TEST

Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a practical real estate video editing test using footage supplied by NB Media.

We will assess:
- Storytelling
- Pacing
- Music selection
- Shot selection
- Colour grading
- Sound design
- Transitions
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow a brief
- Creative judgement
- Editing speed

You will also be required to tell us exactly how long the edit took you.

Applicants who successfully pass the first stage will then be required to provide a screen recording of a full edit, showing your complete editing workflow from the supplied footage through to the finished video.

The screen recording helps us confirm:
- The work is genuinely your own
- How you approach an edit
- How efficient your workflow is
- How you make decisions during the editing process
