JOB OVERVIEW

Hey, I'm Giovanni! I'm looking for a long-form video editor to team up with me and grow my YouTube channel, TechGio. This is the most important hire I'm making for the channel. If you love clean, premium tech content and you're excited about AI, keep reading. I think you're going to like this one!

ABOUT THE CHANNEL

I work in tech sales, and TechGio started as me documenting my own path into the industry and helping others break in with no experience. That's still part of it, but the channel is expanding into something bigger: the AI and tech industry, the tools I actually use every day (Grok Bot, Claude, AI agents, and whatever comes next), and the behind-the-scenes of building my own AI startup while working full-time.

So the mix is: talking-head, screen recordings of real tools and workflows, and founder journey content. All long-form, all YouTube.

THE STYLE I'M GOING FOR

The best tech channels right now share a format: clean talking-head plus screen recordings that are actually easy to follow. Cursor highlights, smooth zooms, crisp on-screen text, diagrams that make technical ideas simple. Premium and calm, not flashy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

I batch-film, so you'll get raw talking-head footage, screen recordings, and a short brief per video (hook, structure, key moments). From there, you own the edit:
• Trim and pace. Cut dead air and bad takes, keep the energy up. Retention is the job.
• On-screen text. Captions, callouts, key numbers, lists. Sharp and well-timed.
• Screen recordings. Zooms, cursor highlights, clean cuts between me and the screen.
• Simple motion graphics. Diagrams for AI concepts, tool highlights, transitions.
• Music, sound design, color, and final export.
• Revisions from my timestamped notes. Usually one round.

Deliverables: finished video plus organized project files.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

• Experienced with long-form YouTube. You've edited talking-head + screen recording content before and can show me published videos. Please don't apply if your portfolio is mostly Shorts, gaming, or events. Nothing against that work, it's just a different job.
• Passionate about AI and tech. You follow the space, or genuinely want to. It shows in the edit when the editor gets the content.
• You use AI in your workflow. Descript, auto-captions, AI features in Premiere or Resolve, whatever makes you faster and better. My whole operation runs on AI.
• Strong with text and motion. Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve plus After Effects (or equivalent).
• Fast and reliable. First cut within 48 hours of getting footage. 24 hours is the goal. If something is going to slip, I hear about it before it does.
• Willing to adapt and learn. The tech space moves fast and the channel will evolve with it. I want someone who grows with me, takes feedback well, and cares whether the video performs.
• Clear communicator. Fluent written English, responsive on Slack or WhatsApp, comfortable working async.

PAY AND WHAT YOU GET

$50–$100 per video depending on experience and quality. We start at 2 videos a week and grow from there.

This is a long-term partnership, not a one-off gig:
• Consistent volume that grows with the channel.
• Rate increases tied to quality and consistency. Good work gets rewarded!
• Tools covered. I'm open to paying for software, plugins, or assets you need.
• First look at everything that comes next: startup launch content, product videos, and more.
• A real seat at the table. I want your ideas on hooks, pacing, and style.
