About the role:
We're an Australian-owned health food brand launching a protein powder in a stand-up pouch. We need a clean, premium packaging design for print. Our current design looks too AI-generated / generic — we want something that looks like a real, considered retail product that belongs on a shelf next to premium brands.
What you'll do:
Design print-ready artwork for our stand-up pouch (front and back to start; possibly more SKUs later)
Work to the printer's dieline/template (we'll supply it) — correct bleed, safe zones, fold lines
Lay out our supplied copy, nutrition panel, ingredient list, logo and brand colours cleanly and to regulation
Deliver a polished, premium, non-generic look — clean typography and hierarchy, not busy or "stock template"
Provide final files in print-ready format (PDF/X, packaged AI file with fonts + links, CMYK)
Requirements:
Proven packaging or label design experience — please send a portfolio of packaging/pouch/product work you've designed (this is essential — general graphic design alone isn't enough)
Strong with dielines, bleed, print specs and CMYK
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (and Photoshop) — Illustrator is required for packaging artwork
Excellent typography and layout eye; able to make something look premium and intentional
Able to work to supplied brand guidelines (colours, fonts, logo) and place regulated text (nutrition panel, ingredients, allergen line) exactly as provided
Reliable, clear English communication, works to a brief
