Hey! I'm Giovanni. I'm building my personal brand on Instagram and TikTok, and I'm looking for one editor to team up with me on it for the long haul. If you love short-form content, you're fast, and you want to grow with someone instead of bouncing between gigs, this one's for you.
THE QUICK VERSION
- What: Instagram Reels and TikToks. Talking-head "yapping" videos, get-ready-with-me, and day-in-the-life.
- How many: About one reel a day to start, with room to grow to two.
- Pay: $10–$20 per reel based on experience and quality, with raises as we grow.
- Turnaround: 24 hours from raw footage to first cut.
- Tools: Instagram Edits app ideally, CapCut works too. We'll work in Slack.
- My page:
ABOUT THE BRAND
My personal page is where I share the real stuff: my thoughts, my mornings, the gym, the grind of building something while working full-time. Raw, real, and consistent. Also make fitness content here.
This is a brand-new push. I'm committing to posting every single day, and I need an editing partner who's just as committed. I don't need you to be a 10-year pro. I need someone with a good eye, real short-form experience, and the hunger to get great. I'll train you on exactly how I want things edited (I have a full style guide), and once you've got it, you run with it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
I'll film and send you raw footage every day through Slack, plus a quick note on the hook and the point of the video. From there:
- Cut it tight. Trim the pauses and rambling, keep the energy up, hook in the first second.
- Captions and on-screen text. Clean, well-timed, in our brand style. This is a big part of the look.
- Simple, tasteful edits. Zooms, cuts, B-roll placement, sound. Enough to hold attention, never overdone.
- Two styles: raw talking-head yapping reels, and GRWM or day-in-the-life vlogs with timestamps and title cards.
- Export ready-to-post, 9:16, so I can post to Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.
- Quick tweaks from my notes. Usually one round, often none.
THE STANDARD
Go look at these before you apply so we're on the same page:
If you watched those and thought "I can edit like that, and I'd love to," keep reading.
WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
- You've edited short-form content before (Reels, TikToks, or Shorts) and you can show me examples. Doesn't have to be for a big account.
- You know the Instagram Edits app, or you're strong in CapCut. Either works, Edits is a plus.
- You're passionate about short-form. You watch Reels and notice why they work. You have opinions on hooks and pacing.
- You're comfortable in Slack and you're responsive. We'll talk every day.
- Fast and reliable. 24-hour turnarounds, and if something's going to slip, I hear about it before it does. I'll always do the same for you.
- Coachable. I'll train you on my style and give clear feedback, and you actually apply it.
- Fluent English, and you get the vibe of lifestyle and self-improvement content.
Please don't apply if you're looking for a quick one-off gig. This is a daily, long-term thing and I want someone who's excited about that.
WHAT YOU GET
- Daily, consistent work. Around 30 reels a month would be the goal.
- Raises as your work speaks for itself. When the page grows, you grow with it.
- Real training. You'll get my full style guide and direct feedback from me. You'll leave this a much better editor than you came in.
- Room to grow. There's a long-form YouTube channel and a startup behind this too. As it all takes off, there's a lot more to make, and you get first look.
- A real voice. I want your ideas on hooks, trends, and what to try next. You're a creative partner, not just a pair of hands.
HOW TO APPLY
Start your message with the word "Sunrise" so I know you read the whole thing. Then send me:
1. 3–5 Reels or TikToks you edited, and exactly what you did on each.
2. Which editing app you use, and whether you've used Instagram Edits.
3. One reel from any of the accounts above and two sentences on why it works.
4. Your rate per reel and how many reels a week you can realistically handle.
The strongest applicants get a paid test edit, one real reel from real footage, before we commit. So you get paid either way.
I need to see your work to consider you, so please don't skip the links. Excited to see what you've made and hopefully build this together!
