We're looking for a full time, passionate analytics and tracking specialist to join our busy US-based digital marketing agency.
What you'll own
Measurement & tracking
Build and maintain GA4 properties across a portfolio of client sites — event and key event configuration, cross-domain tracking, referral exclusions, channel groupings, filters and data retention
Implement and maintain Google Tag Manager containers: tags, triggers, variables, data layer specs, consent mode, server-side GTM where appropriate
Set up and validate conversion tracking for Google Ads, Meta (Pixel and Conversions API), LinkedIn and other ad platforms, including offline and CRM-sourced conversions
Configure call tracking (CallRail or equivalent) and form/booking tool tracking, including third-party embeds and iframes
Audit inherited accounts and fix what's broken — duplicate tags, inflated engagement metrics, misconfigured key events, broken attribution, self-referrals
Write tracking specs that developers can implement, and QA their work before it goes live
Run tracking QA on every site launch and migration so nothing is lost at go-live
Reporting
Build and maintain Looker Studio dashboards that clients and internal teams actually use
Connect and maintain data sources: GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Meta, call tracking, CRM
Investigate anomalies and explain them in plain English to account managers and clients
Off-page SEO & backlinks
Own backlink acquisition and management across client accounts — prospecting, outreach, placement tracking and quality control
Monitor link profiles for toxic or spammy links and manage disavow files where justified
Audit and clean up existing link profiles on inherited accounts
Track competitor link profiles and identify gaps worth pursuing
Report on link velocity, authority growth and the impact on organic visibility
General
Keep documentation current — naming conventions, container structures, tracking specs, per-client setup notes
Keep task status accurate in ClickUp and communicate blockers early
Contribute to internal SOPs so tracking setups are consistent across the portfolio
What we're looking for
Required
3+ years of hands-on GA4 and Google Tag Manager implementation across multiple sites or clients
Demonstrable experience setting up conversion tracking for Google Ads and Meta, including Conversions API
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript — enough to read a page, find why a tag isn't firing, and write a custom event or dataLayer push
Comfortable with the data layer, custom JavaScript variables and debugging in Tag Assistant, GA4 DebugView and browser devtools
Experience with Looker Studio (or an equivalent BI tool) building client-facing dashboards
Practical backlink experience using Ahrefs, Semrush or similar — prospecting, outreach and profile analysis
Confident in Google Search Console: coverage, performance data, manual actions, disavow
Clear written communication. You'll be explaining technical problems to non-technical people regularly
Organised enough to run 10+ client accounts without losing track of what's configured where
Nice to have
Server-side GTM or a CDP (Segment, Stape, GA4 Measurement Protocol)
WordPress and/or Shopify experience — enough to install tracking without breaking a theme
Consent management platforms and GDPR-compliant tracking setups
Experience with restricted ad categories (health, wellness, regulated industries)
BigQuery, SQL, or GA4 data export
Agency background juggling multiple clients and priorities
Tools you'll use
GA4 · Google Tag Manager · Google Search Console · Google Ads · Meta Business Manager · Looker Studio · CallRail · Ahrefs · Semrush · WordPress · Shopify · ClickUp · Slack
Send your CV and a short note covering:
A tracking setup you inherited that was broken — what was wrong, how you found it, and how you fixed it
The GA4 or GTM configuration you're most proud of, and why it was hard
A link building campaign you ran end to end, with the outcome
Salary up to $1000/m, working hours will be 50% coverage of standard MST business hours.
This is a long-term position, we're looking for someone passionate about their role that wants to grow within the business. We're a fast paced agency that provides cutting edge tools to enable our team to progress professionally and personally.
