# Lead Research & Generation Specialist — iMarketU

## About the Role

iMarketU is a digital marketing and automation agency looking for a detail-oriented specialist to research potential clients and organize actionable prospect information in Google Sheets.

We help businesses with websites, lead capture, marketing, and follow-up systems. Your role is to find businesses that could benefit from these services and document why they are a good fit.

## Responsibilities

- Research prospects using targeted keywords, industry terms, and locations.
- Find recent public posts or requests showing buying interest, such as “looking for a web designer,” “need a business website,” or “recommend a marketing agency.”
- Identify other suitable businesses with observable website or marketing gaps, clearly labeling them as cold prospects.
- Find relevant decision-makers and check business contact details against public sources.
- Maintain a clean Google Sheet with consistent formatting, filters, clear statuses, and no duplicates.
- Include the source link, date found, and evidence supporting each prospect’s potential need.
- Provide regular updates on the strongest opportunities.

## Required Google Sheets Information

Business name, industry, location, website, contact name and role, public business email or phone, relevant social profile, source link, date found, identified need, evidence of interest, lead status, and notes.

Clearly distinguish:
- **Expressed interest:** A business has publicly requested relevant help.
- **Cold prospect:** The business appears suitable, but interest is unconfirmed.
- **Qualified opportunity:** Interest and fit have been confirmed through a conversation.

Do not guess budgets, invent contact information, or label a business interested solely because its website needs improvement.

## Requirements

- Strong online research and keyword-search skills.
- Confidence using Google Sheets.
- Attention to detail and clear written communication.
- Understanding of websites and digital marketing services.
- Ability to prioritize relevant, current opportunities over large contact lists.

This role initially focuses on research and list building. Outreach and appointment setting are separate unless specifically assigned.
