YouTube Analyst (Remote, Full-Time) – Channel Analytics, Niche Research & Thumbnail/Title Testing
Do you open YouTube Studio for fun? We'll pay you to do it all day.
We are a growing YouTube media company running a portfolio of channels, and we are looking for a YouTube Analyst who genuinely enjoys digging into the numbers — CTR, average view duration, retention curves, traffic sources, RPM — and turning them into clear recommendations our creative team can act on this week.
This is not a data-entry job. You will be the person the team asks "why did this video pop and that one flatline?" — and your answer will d
The essentials up front, no guessing:
? Salary: starts at $400 USD/month, up to $700 USD/month depending on proven YouTube analytics experience. Paid twice monthly, on time, every time.
? Reviews: performance and pay review at 3 months and 6 months — this role is designed to grow.
? 100% remote / work from home — anywhere in the Philippines.
? Full-time, 40 hours/week, flexible hours. Build your own workday. We only ask for a few overlapping hours with the team so reviews and handoffs are same-day, not next-day.
? Paid time off and paid Philippine holidays.
? We pay for your tools and your learning — analytics platforms, courses, certifications.
What You'll Do
Channel performance analytics
Build and send a weekly YouTube performance report across our channels — views, watch time, CTR, average view duration (AVD), average percentage viewed, subscriber gain, traffic sources
Read retention curves and pinpoint where viewers drop off, then tell the editors exactly which timestamp to fix
Track every published video against its channel benchmark and flag winners and underperformers within 48 hours of upload
Maintain clean dashboards in Google Sheets (or Looker Studio) so anyone can see channel health at a glance
Niche & competitor research
Monitor competitor channels and surface outlier videos — the ones massively outperforming their channel average
Research new niches, formats, and content angles worth testing, with the data to back the recommendation
Do keyword and search-demand research (YouTube search, VidIQ/TubeBuddy/Google Trends) to find topics with real demand and beatable competition
Keep a living swipe file of high-performing titles, thumbnails, hooks, and formats
Title & thumbnail (packaging) testing
Run and log A/B tests on titles and thumbnails; report the CTR lift clearly
Score packaging before publish using our checklist, and recommend concrete iterations
Spot patterns: which thumbnail styles, faces, colors, and title structures actually earn clicks in our niches
Revenue & forecasting
Track RPM, CPM, estimated AdSense revenue, and revenue by geography and traffic source
Forecast monthly revenue and flag variances early, with a plausible explanation
Help identify which content types earn the most per 1,000 views, not just the most views
What You Need (be honest with yourself — this list is real)
1+ year of hands-on experience with YouTube analytics — as a channel manager, analyst, video SEO specialist, content strategist, VA for a YouTube channel, or on your own channel. Your own channel absolutely counts.
Confident in YouTube Studio Analytics: you know the difference between impressions CTR and AVD, and why both matter
Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills — pivot tables, lookups, charts. Formulas should not scare you.
Comfortable with at least one research tool (VidIQ, TubeBuddy, Social Blade, Google Trends, or similar) — or ready to learn one fast
Good written English: your reports need to be understood at a glance
Curious and self-directed. You notice things nobody asked you to look for.
Reliable internet, a working computer, and a quiet place to focus
Nice to have, not required
Experience with faceless / niche content channels, or multi-channel portfolios
Looker Studio, Google Analytics, or YouTube Data API experience
Any basic SQL or Python for data work
Copywriting instinct for titles and hooks
