ABOUT US

We are a family-owned U.S. trucking company operating approximately 15 trucks. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and highly organized remote employee to assist with driver recruiting and eventually take on additional fleet operations, productivity, ELD, and safety-related responsibilities.

This position will begin with a strong focus on CDL driver recruiting. Your first priority will be helping us fill our available trucks with qualified drivers. As those positions are filled and you are trained in our systems, your responsibilities will expand into fleet productivity and compliance support.

PHASE ONE: CDL DRIVER RECRUITING

Your initial priority will be recruiting qualified CDL drivers.

Responsibilities will include:

* Post and maintain driver advertisements.
* Actively find qualified CDL drivers through job boards, social media, Facebook groups, referrals, and other recruiting sources.
* Respond promptly to calls, messages, and applications.
* Call and screen potential drivers.
* Explain our available positions, pay, equipment, routes, home time, and requirements.
* Review applicants’ experience, driving history, qualifications, and expectations.
* Identify serious candidates and move them through the hiring process.
* Follow up consistently with interested drivers.
* Schedule interviews, testing, orientation, and onboarding steps.
* Maintain an organized recruiting spreadsheet or applicant-tracking system.
* Keep candidates informed until they are hired or are no longer interested.

We are not looking for someone who only posts advertisements and waits. We need someone who actively searches for drivers, follows up consistently, and produces results.

EXPANDED RESPONSIBILITIES

After you are trained and our immediate recruiting needs are under control, the position will expand to include the following:

Driver Productivity

* Review the Motive dashboard once daily to monitor driver and truck activity.
* Identify drivers or trucks that are inactive, underutilized, or not generating expected revenue.
* Determine why equipment is not moving and follow up with the appropriate person.
* Report recurring downtime, productivity problems, or unusual driver activity to management.

ELD Monitoring

* Review the Motive ELD dashboard once daily.
* Check for possible log issues, missing certifications, or Hours-of-Service concerns.
* Identify ELD disconnections or drivers operating without being properly connected.
* Review and help resolve unidentified driving trips.
* Monitor Personal Conveyance usage and flag possible misuse.
* Contact drivers regarding corrections or missing information when instructed.
* Immediately report serious or recurring compliance concerns to management.

Safety and Compliance Support

* Review Motive safety data and driver behavior trends.
* Monitor company safety scores and identify areas that may need improvement.
* Track recurring concerns such as speeding, harsh braking, unsafe driving, Hours-of-Service violations, or maintenance issues.
* Review roadside inspection and violation records for possible errors.
* Identify records that may qualify for an FMCSA DataQs challenge.
* Gather supporting documents and prepare potential DataQs requests for management’s review and approval.
* Track the status and outcome of submitted DataQs requests.

DAILY CHECK-IN

You will have a brief check-in with the company owner each workday. The check-in will cover:

* What you completed that day
* Any qualified driver candidates
* Important issues requiring attention
* Your next steps
* Anything you need from the owner

The check-in is intended to be brief and maintain communication and accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Strong spoken and written English
* Confident and professional phone communication
* Reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment
* Comfortable speaking with U.S. truck drivers
* Organized and comfortable using spreadsheets and online dashboards such as Tenstreet
* Able to work independently without constant reminders
* Strong attention to detail
* Able to handle a fast-paced environment and stressful situations professionally
* Persistent with follow-up without being unprofessional
* Willing and able to learn ELD, productivity, and safety procedures
* Previous experience with U.S. trucking or CDL driver recruiting is strongly preferred
* Experience with Motive or another ELD platform is a plus
* Familiarity with Hours-of-Service, Personal Conveyance, CSA/SMS scores, or DataQs is a plus

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We need someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates when there is a problem, and follows through. You should be comfortable learning new systems and growing into a larger role as you demonstrate reliability and good judgment.
