JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dependable HR Assistant with hands-on experience using Gusto and strong knowledge of California employment and payroll laws.

KINDLY STATE YOUR YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN:
- Processing payroll using Gusto
- California employment and payroll laws
- Creating, updating, and deactivating system access
- Troubleshooting login, software, account, and phone-system issues

Key Responsibilities:
Process biweekly payroll for employees and independent contractors through Gusto
Verify timesheet hours, overtime, meal breaks, missed punches, and payroll adjustments
Manually calculate PTO and sick leave accruals to verify system balances
Create, update, and deactivate employee access to company systems
Troubleshoot login, account, software, and phone-system issues
Provide basic technical support to employees
Coordinate with vendors when additional technical support is needed
Assist with other HR and administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
**Hands-on experience processing payroll using Gusto is required
**Knowledge of California employment and payroll laws is required
Experience reviewing timesheets and manually calculating PTO and sick leave
Basic IT troubleshooting experience
Experience creating, managing, and deactivating user accounts
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
