JOB OVERVIEW

Northern Virginia real estate media company looking for a creative, experienced video editor who specializes in AI-generated imagery and visual storytelling.

We are developing a unique type of real estate marketing video for dated homes with renovation potential.

What You'll Create

45–60 second vertical videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts combining:

Real property photos and video
AI-generated renovation concepts
Cinematic video editing
AI reveal/transition effects
Motion graphics and text
Music and sound design

Important: This is NOT a traditional before-and-after renovation video.

The property is still dated/as-is. The goal is to use AI to help potential buyers visualize what the home could realistically become.

The Creative Standard

We want someone who can use AI creatively while keeping the visualization architecturally and visually believable.

Examples of acceptable concepts include:

Opening up a dining room/kitchen by removing a wall
Modernizing a kitchen or bathroom
Adding a realistic kitchen island
Updating flooring, cabinets, countertops, lighting, fixtures and paint
Reasonable landscaping or exterior improvements
Other realistic renovation possibilities

We do not want fantasy remodels, impossible floor plans, oversized kitchens/islands, or dramatic architectural changes simply because AI can create them.

The renovation can change the home — but it should still look like the SAME HOME.

Think like an interior designer/architect + video editor, not simply an AI prompt generator.

Required Skills

Strong experience with:

AI image generation and image-to-image workflows
Inpainting, masking, generative fill and compositing
Maintaining architectural and perspective consistency
AI image-to-video
Professional short-form video editing
Transitions, keyframing, motion graphics and visual effects
Color correction and sound design

Experience with real estate, interior design, remodeling, architecture, or architectural visualization is a major plus.

Software

Experience with several of the following:

AI: ChatGPT, Gemini/Nano Banana, Midjourney, Flux, Firefly, Runway, Kling, Veo, Sora, Seedance, Luma, Pika

Editing: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Pro, After Effects

You do not need to know every program. We care more about the quality of your work and your ability to control AI results.
