Role Overview:
We are a fast-growing catering company based in New Jersey, USA. We attend 3-4 large events every weekend. We are looking for a highly proactive Permit & Ops Coordinator to take full ownership of our local municipal permitting process.
The New Jersey local government systems are highly fragmented and outdated. We do NOT need a standard data-entry clerk; we need a proactive problem solver who is not afraid to pick up the phone.
What You Will Do:
Research and locate specific municipal health/fire permit applications online.
Call local government clerks (Township Health & Fire Departments) to clarify confusing rules, payment methods, or missing forms.
Compile and submit our standardized documents (COI, Menus, Fire Certs).
Relentlessly track deadlines and follow up until the permit is approved.
Document SOPs for each township.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Fluent, confident spoken English: You must be comfortable calling and dealing with bureaucratic US local government officials. (Former US Real Estate VAs or B2B Call Center Agents are highly preferred).
Extreme Proactivity: If a website link is broken, you don't wait for me—you pick up the phone, find the solution, and get it done.
Reliability: We are looking for a long-term "cloud operations manager."
? HOW TO APPLY (MANDATORY TEST):
I will ignore ALL generic cover letters. To prove you have the research skills and attention to detail required for this job, you MUST put the answers to these 4 questions at the VERY TOP of your application message:
What is the direct phone number and the exact extension for the "Denville, NJ Division of Health"?
What is the exact email address to submit a temporary fire permit application to the "Millville, NJ Fire Department (Fire Prevention)"?
What is the exact email address to submit a temporary fire permit application to the "Hoboken, NJ Fire Department (Fire Prevention)"?
