Prior Authorizations Coordinator (Remote – Philippines)

Full-Time | Mon–Fri (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST)

Compensation:

$4.50/hour (USD)
~$780/month (USD)

About the Role

We are a growing U.S.-based multi-specialty medical group seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorizations Coordinator to support our clinical operations. This role is critical in ensuring patients receive timely care by securing insurance approvals efficiently and accurately.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in working with healthcare systems, insurance providers, and high-volume administrative workflows.

Key Responsibilities
Review patient medical records to determine prior authorization requirements
Submit and track authorization requests with insurance companies
Communicate with providers, patients, and payers to gather required documentation
Follow up on pending, delayed, or denied authorizations
Maintain accurate records of approvals, denials, and status updates
Stay updated on payer guidelines, ICD-10 codes, and policy changes
Support workflows related to:
Sleep study authorizations (in-lab & home studies)
Appeals and denial management
Oral appliance referrals
Ensure all processes comply with HIPAA standards
Qualifications

Required:

Prior experience in prior authorizations / medical billing / healthcare admin
Strong understanding of insurance types (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial)
Excellent English communication (written & verbal)
High attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines
Experience in submitting inlab and home sleep study REQUIRED

Preferred:

Experience in a multi-specialty or outpatient setting
Familiarity with EPIC EMR or similar systems
Experience with tools like CoverMyMeds
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (U.S. Time)
