About the Role
We're a boutique interior design studio based in Jupiter, Florida, looking to grow our reach and generate more qualified leads. We're hiring a part-time, remote Marketing & Content Coordinator to own our organic content, email marketing, and online presence — turning our project photography into consistent, high-quality content across our website, blog, Houzz, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and email list. This is a long-term, ongoing part-time role (not a short-term project) for the right person.
What You'll Own
• Website & SEO blog: write and publish blog posts optimized for local and design-related search terms (e.g. “Jupiter, FL interior designer,” room-specific design guides), aimed at driving organic traffic and leads.
• Houzz: maintain and grow our Houzz profile — upload new project photos, manage Ideabooks, keep our Houzz blog updated, and respond to inquiries and reviews.
• Pinterest: build and maintain boards from our project photography, pin consistently, and optimize for long-term search traffic.
• LinkedIn: post regularly to build visibility with potential referral partners (realtors, builders, architects) as well as prospective clients.
• Email marketing: write and send our newsletter on a consistent cadence, grow our subscriber list (e.g. via a lead magnet and landing page), and set up basic nurture/welcome automation.
• Website updates & conversion: keep site content current (services, project galleries, testimonials, contact details) and improve how well the site turns visitors into inquiries — simplifying the contact form, strengthening calls-to-action, and reducing friction in the path to “book a consultation.”
• Brand & niche consistency: keep blog, social, and email content aligned with our design niche and target client profile across every channel.
• Content repurposing: turn project photos and footage captured by our in-house team into content across blog, Houzz, Pinterest, and email — no on-site presence required.
• Reporting: track inquiries/leads generated by channel and share a simple monthly summary of what's working.
• Light coordination with our existing Meta ads freelancer to keep messaging and creative aligned with organic content.
Press, Awards & Reputation
• Magazine features: track editorial calendars and “call for submissions” from regional/trade design publications, assemble project packages (photos + write-up) from our existing photography, and submit for feature consideration.
• Award submissions: research and submit projects to relevant local/regional design awards (e.g. ASID or NKBA chapter awards, “Best of” programs).
• Testimonials & case studies: after each project wraps, collect a written or short video testimonial and turn the project into a case study, then publish across the blog, Houzz, Pinterest, and email.
• Reviews: run a consistent post-project workflow requesting Google and Houzz reviews from happy clients.
• Guest content & podcasts: pitch guest blog posts to relevant design/lifestyle sites, invite local industry experts to contribute to our blog, and pitch us as a guest on regional design or lifestyle podcasts.
• Directory listings: keep our profile complete and consistent (name, address, phone, photos) across Houzz and other relevant local directories.
• Local collaborations: identify and help coordinate collaborations with local lifestyle/home influencers or content creators (e.g. home tours, features) — coordination only, not content creation.
What's Not in Scope (For Now)
• Instagram content creation and posting — this is currently handled in-house since it requires on-site filming/photography. May be added to this role later as it evolves.
• Paid ad management (Meta/Google) — handled by a separate freelancer.
What We're Looking For
• Excellent written English — our brand voice matters, especially for blog and email content.
• Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization).
• Experience managing Houzz and/or Pinterest for a design, home services, or real estate business is a strong plus.
• Comfort with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp) and basic automation.
• Familiarity with Wix or a similar website CMS.
• Highly organized and self-directed — able to manage a content calendar across multiple channels with minimal oversight.
• Reliable internet connection and availability for some overlap with US Eastern time for check-ins.
Details
• Hours: 25–30 hours/week, ongoing part-time (potential to grow over time based on fit and results).
• Location: Remote / overseas candidates welcome.
• Reports to: Studio owner and Operations Coordinator
How to Apply
Please include a short cover note along with the following:
• 2–3 writing samples — published blog posts, articles, or email campaigns (links preferred over attachments).
• Examples of Houzz and/or Pinterest profiles you've managed (links or screenshots), ideally for a design, home services, or real estate business.
• Any examples of press/media placements or award submissions you've helped coordinate, if applicable.
Strong candidates may be asked to complete a short, sample task (e.g. a draft blog post based on one of our projects) before a final decision, so we can evaluate fit for our brand voice.
