JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Civil 3D / Point Cloud Drafter to support our commercial drafting and as-built documentation team.

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on Civil 3D drafting experience and experience working with point cloud data generated through laser scanning. You will transform raw point cloud information into accurate technical drawings, plans, measurements, and reports for commercial projects.

IMPORTANT – NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of professional drafting experience
- Hands-on Civil 3D experience is REQUIRED
- Hands-on Point Cloud / Laser Scanning experience is REQUIRED
- Candidates without Civil 3D and Point Cloud experience will not be considered

Responsibilities:
- Process and interpret raw point cloud data from laser scanning projects
- Create accurate as-built plans and technical drawings using Civil 3D
- Convert point cloud information into CAD drawings and required project deliverables
- Prepare drawings for renovation, conversion, extension, and reconstruction projects
- Generate reports from point cloud data, including FSL reports and other project-specific reports
- Review drawings and measurements for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Organize and maintain project files, drawings, measurements, and documentation
- Make revisions based on project requirements and quality-control feedback
- Manage multiple commercial projects while meeting established deadlines
- Identify discrepancies or incomplete information and communicate them proactively
- Follow established drafting standards, workflows, and project requirements

Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional drafting experience
- Proven hands-on experience with Civil 3D drafting
- Hands-on experience working with point cloud data and laser-scanning outputs
- Ability to interpret point cloud data and translate it into accurate drawings and measurements
- Experience preparing technical reports from point cloud data
- FSL report experience is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of CAD drafting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Comfortable working in a commercial/project-based environment

Preferred Experience:
- Revit or similar building-design software
- As-built documentation
- Construction, renovation, surveying, architectural, or engineering projects
- Government or building-plan submission requirements
- Laser scanning and 3D measurement technologies

Ideal Candidate:
- Highly detail-oriented and accurate when working with point clouds, measurements, and technical drawings
- Technically proficient in Civil 3D and point cloud data
- Quality-focused and able to identify errors before they affect project deliverables
- Self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Organized and able to manage multiple commercial projects and deadlines
- Proactive in identifying issues and finding solutions
- Reliable and consistent in meeting deadlines

Work Schedule:
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Remote
