We’re looking for someone who already knows Shopify well and can take real ownership of our online store including: products, pages, inventory, design, and conversion. This is a specialist role, not a basic virtual assistant position. If you enjoy making a Shopify store look better, run cleaner, and convert more, this will be a good fit.

You do not need to be a developer. Traditional coding is not required. What is a huge plus is being comfortable using Claude Code (or a similar AI coding tool) to edit Shopify theme code, custom pages, and sections when needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll work directly with the founder and be given clear written and video instructions. We value accuracy, good taste, and people who think through problems instead of waiting for the next message. Hours vary by week depending on launches, updates, and testing. This can grow into a longer-term role for someone who does strong work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Shopify operations

- Manage products, variants, collections, tags, inventory, locations, prices, costs, weights, SKUs, and barcodes
- Create complete product listings: titles, descriptions, SEO titles, meta descriptions, images, media, and fulfillment settings
- Keep inventory accurate across products, variants, and warehouse locations
- Prepare and launch new products and collections on schedule

Website, theme, and apps

- Build and update pages in the Shopify theme editor
- Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot Shopify apps
- Review the site before every launch for prices, links, images, inventory, and mobile layout
- When needed, use Claude Code or Shopify’s code editor to update custom-coded pages and theme sections (this is a plus, not a requirement)

CRO and analytics

- Review Shopify reports: best sellers, SKU performance, sales trends, inventory needs, collection performance, and conversion issues
- Turn those numbers into clear recommendations
- Plan and run A/B tests on product pages, landing pages, offers, and site elements
- Improve conversion through layout, product presentation, navigation, merchandising, and mobile design

Creative and communication

- Create polished e-commerce graphics in Canva and with ChatGPT image tools
- Document completed work
- Flag issues early and clearly so we can fix them before customers see them

YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE

- Interest in keychains and cosmetics
- Advanced Shopify experience with products, variants, SKUs, inventory, collections, locations, analytics, themes, and apps
- Experience using the Shopify theme editor
- A solid understanding of conversion-rate optimization and e-commerce best practices
- Experience running and reading A/B tests
- Strong Canva skills
- Experience creating and editing professional product images with ChatGPT or similar tools
- Excellent visual taste
- Excellent written and spoken English
- The ability to follow detailed instructions and finish the small details without reminders
- Comfort with variable weekly hours
- A reliable computer and fast, stable internet

HUGE PLUS

- Experience using Claude Code (or a similar AI coding tool) to edit Shopify theme code, sections, and custom pages
- Some familiarity with Liquid, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is helpful, but you do not need to be a coder

SCHEDULE AND PAY

Position: Part-time
Hours: 0–40 hours per week, depending on workload
Typical average: about 10–15 hours per week
Some weeks will be light. Launch or testing weeks may be busier.
Schedule: 9am-5pm EST
Pay: $8–$12 USD/hour based on experience
