JOB OVERVIEW

VentureX is a New Zealand recruitment company connecting businesses with skilled professionals in the Philippines. This role is for a VentureX managed project.

The project involves a core website and multiple modules, which may be delivered in stages. You’ll handle design in Figma, WordPress development, third-party integrations, performance optimisation, testing and handover. VentureX will provide project management, staging and client communication.

The website will support frequent content updates and a target of over 200,000 page views per month.

You’ll need to account for traffic spikes, mobile performance, image delivery, caching and the impact of plugins and external integrations.

Relevant experience building and testing sites for this level of traffic is important.

Enterprise-grade, managed WordPress hosting is being arranged separately.

The site needs reusable templates and straightforward controls for staff to manage it independently. Your scope is building and configuring the site; the client’s team will enter and manage the content.

You should have experience with:

* Designing responsive websites in Figma and building them in WordPress.
* Creating custom content types, reusable templates and relationships between content.
* Selecting and configuring suitable plugins.
* Integrating external APIs and data feeds.
* Performance optimisation, caching, image handling and load testing.
* Technical SEO, structured data and redirects.
* Testing and handing over sites to non-technical staff.

The client's existing team is based in both the Philippines and New Zealand.

A detailed RFP will be provided to shortlisted applicants.
