THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Production Analyst to take ownership of the stability, performance, and day-to-day operations of our production systems.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex problems, investigating what’s happening behind the scenes, and finding ways to prevent issues from happening again. You’ll work closely with Engineering, QA, Product, Support, and Infrastructure teams to keep our video analytics platform reliable and continuously improve how we operate it.

You’ll have the opportunity to go beyond reactive support—using data, logs, monitoring, automation, and root-cause analysis to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

This role is a strong fit for someone coming from production support, application support, systems administration, technical operations, NOC, or a similar environment who is ready to take on greater technical ownership.

The Role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Operations & Reliability
• Monitor production systems and application performance, identify emerging issues, and take proactive action before they impact customers or operations.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production i ---------- , escalating to Engineering or other technical teams when appropriate.
• Analyze application, system, and database logs to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and operational risks.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings, corrective actions, and preventative measures.
• Support the ongoing reliability, availability, and performance of our video analytics platform.

Releases & Change Management
• Support production software releases, deployments, configuration changes, and operational updates.
• Execute and coordinate Production Acceptance (PA) testing before and after releases.
• Validate production changes and help ensure releases are properly tested, documented, and implemented.
• Participate in change management processes and help identify potential production risks before changes are deployed.

Systems & Technical Support
• Configure, validate, troubleshoot, and maintain Video Analytics systems and related production environments.
• Use SQL to investigate issues, analyze data, validate system behavior, and support troubleshooting.
• Work with Windows-based servers and production environments.
• Use monitoring, alerting, and log-analysis tools to diagnose system and application issues.

Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, operational processes, documentation, and system reliability.
• Contribute to automation initiatives that reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge-base articles.
• Use Jira to manage i ---------- , service requests, investigations, and operational work.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices with junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Engineering, QA, Support, Infrastructure, and Product teams to investigate issues and improve service reliability.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Help ensure production issues are not only resolved quickly, but understood and prevented where possible.

QUALIFICATIONS
You’ll be successful in this role if you have a strong technical foundation, a methodical approach to troubleshooting, and the curiosity to understand why something went wrong—not simply how to get it working again.

Required
• Professional experience supporting production applications, enterprise software, or technical systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and server environments. Practical experience with SQL, including writing queries, analyzing data, and troubleshooting application or database-related issues.
• Demonstrated ability to independently investigate and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and documenting technical findings.
• Understanding of software deployments, application lifecycles, releases, and production support processes.
• Familiarity with system/application monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to diagnosing issues.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple i ---------- and operational tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

Nice to Have
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
• Linux administration or troubleshooting.
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or ELK.
• Scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewall troubleshooting.
• AWS or other cloud-based production environments.
• Release management, change management, or ITIL practices.
• CI/CD, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.
• Video analytics, computer vision, or distributed systems.
• Experience working with high-availability or business-critical production environments.
