JOB OVERVIEW

Australian finance experience is mandatory

Arkero is a fast-growing technology and remote staffing company preparing for launch.

We are looking for a hands-on CFO to take ownership of all money related matters across the company and build the financial structure needed to support growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Own companywide financial management
2. Create and manage company and department budgets
3. Manage cash flow, forecasting and financial controls
4. Oversee payroll, team costs, subscriptions and company spending
5. Oversee client billing, receivables and payment reconciliation
6. Produce clear monthly financial reporting for the CEO
7. Manage headcount and hiring cost forecasts
8. Work with Arianne, Head of HR & People, on internal hiring approvals
9. Ensure new hires fit within approved budgets before recruitment begins
10. Coordinate Australian accounting, tax and compliance requirements
11. Work with external accountants and advisers where required
12. Improve and automate financial systems and processes as the company grows

(Mandatory Experience)
Candidates must have direct and recent experience working in an Australian finance environment.

You should have practical knowledge of:

1. Australian accounting and financial reporting
2. BAS and GST
3. PAYG
4. Superannuation
5. Payroll and employee related costs
6. Australian tax and compliance requirements
7. Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management

Previous experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance or Financial Controller is strongly preferred.

Experience in SaaS, technology, staffing, recruitment, outsourcing or BPO businesses will be highly regarded.

What We Need

We are looking for someone commercial, hands on and confident working directly with the Founder and Heads of Department.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to review reports. You will be expected to build the finance function, put controls in place and give leadership clear visibility over the financial position of the company.

Candidates without relevant Australian finance experience will not be considered.

Hours will be 15 per week for the first 6 weeks then go to full time after.
