JOB OVERVIEW

Company: Tier 1 Clicks
Location: Remote (U.S. & Canada)
Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $20–$25/hour depending on experience and skill.
Hourly to start, with the opportunity to move to a salaried role after an initial trial period.

Who We Are
Tier 1 Clicks is a marketing agency built for HVAC and home service contractors. We run paid ads across Google, Meta, LSA, and YouTube, and our in-house call center turns those leads into booked estimates in the client's CRM. Contractors pay us for one thing: appointments that turn into installs. We're a 30+ person remote team and we're building out a dedicated PPC department. This hire is a big part of that.

The Role
You'll own Google Ads (Search, some Bing) and Google Local Services Ads for a book of contractor accounts. Budgets run from a few thousand to $10K+ per month per client, and every dollar has to produce a lead a contractor can sell. On the PPC side you'll build and manage campaigns, run search term hygiene, test copy and landing pages, and manage bids and budgets. On the LSA side you'll handle profile setup and verification, bidding and budget management, lead disputes, and review strategy to keep clients ranking. You'll report on cost per lead and cost per booked appointment, not clicks and impressions.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the accounts every day. You'll also help us document how PPC gets done here, so what works on one account gets applied to all of them.
Read this before applying. This is a Google-only role. We already have a Meta team. We're not looking for a generalist who runs "a little of everything" across Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google. We want someone who has spent years deep in Google Search and LSA and knows them better than anyone else on our team. If Google Ads is one of five platforms on your resume, this probably isn't the job for you. If it's the one you'd pick to bet your reputation on, keep reading.

What You'll Do
Build, launch, and manage Google Search campaigns for HVAC and home service clients.
Own daily account hygiene: search term reviews, negatives, bid adjustments, budget pacing.
Structure campaigns around what actually makes contractors money (installs, repairs, seasonal services) and cut what doesn't.
Manage Local Services Ads end to end: setup and Google Guaranteed verification, weekly budgets and bidding, disputing bad leads, and pushing review volume so clients hold top placement.
Write and test ad copy. Work with our creative and web team on landing page improvements.
Set up and maintain conversion tracking, including call tracking, so we know which keywords produce real leads.
Hit cost-per-lead and cost-per-appointment targets and flag accounts drifting off target before the client notices.
Deliver clear weekly performance updates the account manager can pass to the client in plain English.
Use automation and AI tools where they make you faster, and manual work where it makes you better. We care about results, not method.
Help build the SOPs and checklists for our PPC department.

What We're Looking For
3+ years where Google Ads was your primary job, not one channel among many. Direct control of budget and results. Agency or lead-gen experience preferred.
You've managed multiple Google accounts at once and can show cost-per-lead improvements you drove, with numbers.
You can talk specifics: match type strategy, Performance Max vs. Search for lead gen, Smart Bidding thresholds, why a campaign's CPL doubled and what you did about it. We'll ask.
Hands-on Local Services Ads experience: you know how ranking works, how to dispute leads, and how to keep a profile from getting throttled.
Strong with search term analysis, negative keyword strategy, bid strategies, and budget pacing.
Comfortable with conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager, GA4, and call tracking platforms (CallRail or similar).
You understand lead gen economics: a cheap click that doesn't call is worthless.
Home services or local service contractor experience is a strong plus.
Google Ads certification is nice. A track record beats it.
Self-driven, organized, and reliable working remotely.

What You Get:
$20–$25/hour based on experience and skill, with a path to a salaried position after your trial period.
Fully remote work with a team that communicates and backs each other up.
Real ownership. You won't be a button-pusher reporting to three layers of managers.
Training and growth in paid media, lead gen, and agency operations. We promote from within.
The chance to help build a department from the ground up.

How to Apply
If Google Search and LSA are your specialty and you can prove you've made them produce leads at a cost that makes sense, we want to see it.
