# Full-Time Video Editor — Faceless YouTube Channel (News/Story Content)
**Type:** Faceless YouTube channel, long-form story-driven news content
**Commitment:** Full-time, 6 days/week, 8 hours/day
**Schedule:** Fast-paced, daily deadlines — each video is scripted, edited, and approved same-day
**Resources provided:** Full VO script and reference video for every video
---
## About the Role
We run a fast-growing faceless YouTube channel producing long-form, story-driven videos on trending news. Every video starts from a professional voiceover script — your job is to bring it to life visually.
We're looking for a full-time video editor who can independently source footage, cut a polished long-form edit, and design a high-CTR thumbnail, consistently, every single day. This is a long-term role with stable pay and real growth potential as the channel scales.
**How the day works:** you'll receive a VO script and reference video, then edit, finalize, and submit for approval. The video is "done" once it's approved and no further revisions are needed. If you finish early and get approval ahead of schedule, your day can end early. If approval takes longer, you keep working until the video is finalized and accepted.
---
## What You'll Do
- **Edit 1 long-form video daily** (25–35 minutes), tightly synced to the provided VO script, with a polished, broadcast-quality finish.
- **Source and organize B-roll at volume** — dozens to hundreds of clips per video, pulled from stock libraries, YouTube archives, news footage, public event clips, interviews, archival material, paparazzi footage, and royalty-free assets. Every clip must match exactly what's being said in that moment — no generic filler, no "close enough" stock footage.
- **Match visuals precisely to narration.** If the script mentions a specific person, event, or moment, the footage on screen needs to reflect that specific moment — viewers should feel the video was built for the story, not assembled from whatever was on hand.
- **Keep retention high** across the full runtime with varied visuals: close-ups, reaction clips, text overlays, and relevant cutaways.
- **Add professional finishing touches** — subtitles/captions, smooth transitions, background music, and cinematic pacing built for retention.
- **Design 1 CTR-focused thumbnail daily** — bold, emotionally charged, YouTube-native style with strong visual hierarchy.
- **Maintain an organized shared asset library** and hit daily deadlines without needing follow-up.

## What You Need
- Proven proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve
- Strong thumbnail design skills in Photoshop or Canva
- Strong research skills — the patience to find the *exact* clip for a 25–35 minute script, not just something close
- High attention to detail — visuals need to match narration precisely (e.g., if the script says "the garden party in 2018," the footage needs to be from that specific event, not a generic stand-in)
- Experience sourcing B-roll from stock libraries, YouTube archives, and public media
- A reliable workstation and fast internet capable of handling long-form projects
- Strong English comprehension (all scripts and voiceovers are in English)
- A sharp sense of storytelling, pacing, and retention for news-style content
- Good judgment on footage — knowing what adds emotional weight versus what's just noise
- Full-time availability: 6 days/week, 8 hours/day, delivering 1 complete video + 1 thumbnail daily, with prompt responses during working hours
---
## Bonus Points
- Experience editing news, current events, or royal/celebrity content
- Familiarity with royalty-free platforms (Storyblocks, Pexels, Artgrid, etc.) and basic audio mixing
- Solid grasp of YouTube CTR and retention best practices (hooks, pacing, visual variety)
- Experience on long-form content where retention past the 50% mark is a real priority
