JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
GigLogic is a growing music-industry technology company built for working performers.
We’re looking for a full-time Social Media & Content Manager who is unusually good at finding stories, developing ideas, and turning raw material into compelling social content.
This is not a Virtual Assistant position.
And it is not primarily a job for someone who waits for us to provide finished content and then schedules it.
We need someone who thinks.
Our founder generates a lot of raw material: stories, videos, interviews, podcasts, articles, press, performance footage, industry insights, product demonstrations, photographs, opinions, and ideas.

Your job is to look at that material and think:
“There’s a story here.”
“That’s the hook.”
“This should be a Reel, not a graphic.”
“We can get five pieces of content from this conversation.”
“Craig should record something about this.”
Or, best of all:
“I have an idea.”

What You’ll Do
You’ll take ownership of GigLogic’s day-to-day social media and content presence, including:
· Developing original content ideas
· Identifying stories and opportunities in existing material
· Creating and maintaining a thoughtful content calendar
· Writing captions, hooks, posts, and social copy
· Editing short-form video
· Creating graphics and carousels
· Repurposing podcasts, interviews, articles, and videos into multiple pieces of content
· Publishing and scheduling content
· Helping manage social engagement and community interaction
· Watching trends without blindly chasing them
· Reviewing performance and identifying what’s working
· Recommending what we should do more of, less of, or differently
· Proactively asking for the raw material you need
· Bringing new ideas to us rather than waiting for us to bring every idea to you

Who We’re Looking For
You should be:
· An excellent English communicator, both written and spoken
· A strong writer
· A creative and strategic thinker
· Comfortable editing short-form video
· Visually capable with tools such as Canva
· Curious and interested in understanding the ideas behind a business
· Organized, dependable, and able to work independently
· Comfortable offering your opinion — even when you disagree with the founder
· Someone who notices opportunities other people miss
Professional social media or content experience is important.
Experience in music or entertainment is helpful, but not required.
We would rather hire an exceptional content thinker who can learn our industry than an industry expert who cannot tell a great story.

About GigLogic
GigLogic helps working performers understand what a professional opportunity will actually pay them before they say yes.
The fee for a gig is not necessarily what the performer takes home.
Travel, musicians, crew, production, commissions, taxes, lodging, and other expenses can dramatically change the real financial value of an opportunity.
That’s why one of our core beliefs is:
The paycheck isn’t the profit.
GigLogic gives performers the information they need to make smarter professional decisions and build more sustainable careers.

Compensation & Commitment
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.
Starting salary: $1,000 USD per month.
We are open to hearing from exceptional candidates whose compensation expectations differ, and the application will give you an opportunity to tell us what you would require.

Working hours are 10:00 AM–6:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time.

Because this role works closely with our founder throughout the day, you must be comfortable consistently working this schedule from the Philippines.

This is intended to be your primary full-time professional commitment. We are looking for someone who can dedicate their scheduled working hours to GigLogic rather than dividing that time among multiple clients or employers.

We are also looking for someone interested in a long-term working relationship, not a short freelance project or temporary assignment.

How to Apply
Please complete our application here:
----------
We care much more about your actual work, judgment, communication, and ideas than about degrees or impressive job titles.
Please read the application carefully and answer the questions yourself.
We want to hear your voice, not what you think the perfect applicant is supposed to say.
One important detail: When you reach the final question in the application, begin your answer with the word GIG.

***NOTE: Applications that simply send a résumé or generic message through OnlineJobs.ph without completing the application will not be considered.***

If this sounds like the kind of role where you’d do your best work, we’d like to hear from you.
