JOB OVERVIEW

Redstone Ridge Homes, a custom and spec home builder in Alabama, is looking for an experienced residential drafter/designer to produce complete construction plan sets.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Chief Architect and residential drafting. You should be comfortable taking a project from concept sketches, markups, and written specifications all the way to a permit-ready plan set.

What you'll do:
- Produce complete residential plan sets: floor plans, elevations, foundation plans, framing plans, roof plans, electrical layouts, and sections/details
- Work from our sketches, redlines, and specifications to create accurate, buildable drawings
- Revise and update plans based on feedback
- Keep plans consistent, well-organized, and code-aware for U.S. residential construction

What we're looking for:
- Proven experience with Chief Architect (this is a must)
- Solid background in residential drafting and complete plan sets
- Familiarity with U.S. residential building codes and standard construction practices
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication
- JobTread experience is a plus

Pay: $6/hour, plus a bonus based on completed plan sets. Part-time to start, with room to grow into steady, ongoing work.
