# WordPress Content & SEO Specialist – Remote

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented **WordPress Content & SEO Specialist** from the Philippines to help us improve and update an established travel website about Málaga, Costa del Sol and Andalusia in Spain.

This is not a new website. The website already contains approximately **400 English pages**, and our goal is to systematically refresh, improve and optimise the existing content.

In a later phase, the same website structure will also be expanded and optimised in **German, Spanish and Japanese**, resulting in a large long-term project with more than 1,500 pages.

## Main Responsibilities

Your main task will be to update and improve existing WordPress pages using **ChatGPT and Rank Math SEO**.

Typical tasks include:

* Refresh and improve existing website content
* Rewrite outdated or weak sections using ChatGPT
* Improve readability and content structure
* Add or improve headings such as H2 and H3
* Improve introductions and conclusions
* Add useful FAQ sections where appropriate
* Improve internal linking between related pages
* Check existing links and identify broken or outdated links
* Add relevant external links to authoritative sources when useful
* Improve image ALT text
* Improve meta titles and meta descriptions
* Optimise pages using Rank Math SEO
* Select and use appropriate focus keywords
* Improve keyword placement without keyword stuffing
* Improve Rank Math SEO scores
* Improve structured content for Google and AI search engines
* Review existing content for outdated information
* Correct formatting problems inside WordPress
* Follow our existing page templates and website structure

You will mainly work on **existing pages**, not create completely new websites.

You should already be comfortable working with:

* ChatGPT
* Google Search
* Google Search Console
* Basic keyword research tools

* Advanced Custom Fields / ACF

* Google Analytics
* AI-assisted content optimisation
* multilingual WordPress websites

## Important: How We Use ChatGPT

We actively use ChatGPT to improve and update content.

However, we do NOT want somebody who simply copies and pastes AI-generated text.

You must be able to:

* give ChatGPT good instructions
* evaluate AI-generated content
* correct inaccurate information
* remove unnecessary or repetitive text
* verify important facts
* keep the content natural and useful for real travellers
* maintain a consistent writing style throughout the website

The objective is **better content**, not simply more content.

## About the Website

The website is an established travel guide focusing on:

* Málaga
* Costa del Sol
* Axarquía
* Andalusia
* attractions
* beaches
* restaurants
* events
* villages
* activities
* local travel information

Approximately **400 English pages** currently need to be reviewed and improved.

After the English version has been completed, we plan to work on:

* German
* Spanish
* Japanese

This means there is substantial potential for **long-term cooperation**.

## What We Are Looking For

You should have:

* very good written English
* solid WordPress experience
* practical Rank Math SEO experience
* good understanding of on-page SEO
* experience using ChatGPT professionally
* strong attention to detail
* ability to follow detailed instructions
* ability to work independently
* ability to work systematically through a large number of pages
* good research skills
* reliable communication

You do NOT need to be a programmer.

This position is primarily about **content optimisation, WordPress and SEO**.

## Very Important

We are looking for someone who works carefully and consistently.

We prefer quality over speed.

We do not want:

* automatically generated low-quality AI content
* keyword stuffing
* generic SEO text
* mass-produced articles without fact checking
* unnecessary rewriting of good existing content
* black-hat SEO
* automated backlink building

Many of the existing pages already contain valuable original information. Your job is to **improve what already exists**, not replace everything.

## Working Arrangement

* Remote position
* Philippines-based applicants preferred
* Long-term project
* Initial focus: approximately 400 English pages
* Additional languages and pages later
* Flexible working hours possible
* Part-time depending on experience and availability

We will initially start with a small number of pages to evaluate the quality of your work.

If the cooperation works well, there is enough work available for a long-term position.
