PROFESSIONAL LONG-FORM YOUTUBE VIDEO EDITOR (TECH)

Hey, I'm Giovanni! I'm looking for a talented long-form video editor to team up with me and grow my YouTube channel, TechGio. If you love clean, premium talking-head content and you're excited about tech and AI, keep reading. I think you're going to like this one!

ABOUT THE CHANNEL

TechGio started as me documenting my own journey into tech sales, then turning around to help other people break in with no experience. I'm an enterprise account executive at a tech company, and that content is still the heart of the channel: what the job is really like, earnings breakdowns, and day-in-the-life.

Here's what's exciting right now: the channel is expanding! I'm going deeper into the tech industry and AI (new model releases, the tools I actually use, what's changing and what it means for people in the industry). On top of that, I'm building my own startup and I'm going to share the founder journey and behind-the-scenes of building a company while working full-time.

So it's tech sales, AI and tech updates, and startup life. All talking-head, all long-form, all real.

I've worked with an editor before and it was a great experience. Now I'm ready to go bigger: more videos, more polish, and one editor who becomes a true long-term partner on this. Not a one-off gig. Someone who grows with the channel and wins when it wins. That's you, hopefully!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

I batch-film, so you'll get raw talking-head footage (Sony A7 IV), screen recordings, and a short brief for each video with the hook, structure, and the moments I want to hit. From there, you run the edit:

- Trim the raw clips, cut dead air, keep it tight and engaging. Retention is the name of the game.
- On-screen text and captions: callouts, key numbers, lists. Clean, sharp, well-timed. This is a big part of the style.
- Simple, polished animations: diagrams for AI concepts, tool and UI highlights, smooth transitions. Think Jeff Su, not MrBeast.
- Screen recording polish: zooms, cursor highlights, blur anything sensitive.
- Music and sound design that fits the vibe, with clean dialogue audio.
- Color, final export, and organized project files.
- Quick revisions from my timestamped notes. Usually just one round.

Thumbnails are a bonus, paid separately if that's something you do.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

- You've edited long-form YouTube talking-head content before, ideally for tech, business, or productivity channels, and you have published videos to show for it.
- You're strong in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus After Effects or something similar, and you can make text and motion look premium.
- You use AI in your workflow.
- You're into tech and AI, or genuinely curious about it. It shows in the edit when the editor cares about the content.
- You're fast and reliable. First cuts within 48 hours, and if something's going to slip, you tell me before it does. I'll always do the same for you.
- You're hardworking, coachable, and want to keep getting better. I give clear feedback and I'm easy to work with.
- Fluent English. We'll collaborate on Slack or WhatsApp, mostly async, so clear communication matters.

One honest ask: please don't apply if you're just getting started or if your portfolio is mostly Shorts, gaming, or event videos. Nothing against that work, it's just not what this role is. I need someone who can hit a high bar from day one.

WHAT YOU GET

- Steady, consistent work: 8–12 videos a month once we're rolling.
- Rate increases as your work speaks for itself. Good work gets rewarded here, I truly mean that!
- Tools covered. If you need software, plugins, stock music, or assets to do the job well, I'm happy to help pay for them.
- Real growth. As the channel and everything around it takes off, there's going to be a lot more to make. You get first look at all of it!
- A real voice. I want your ideas on pacing, hooks, and style. You're a creative partner here, and I'm excited to build this with someone who wants to collaborate, not just take orders.

HOW TO APPLY

3. How many 10–15 minute videos per week you can realistically deliver, and your usual first-cut turnaround.
