JOB OVERVIEW

I'm Harrison, founder of Macourt Media in Sydney. We create property films and social content for real estate agents, and I'm looking for an editor with strong taste who can take ownership of an edit from raw footage to delivery.

You'll work on premium property films, vertical walkthroughs and agent reels. The aim is to make the home look beautiful and the agent feel natural, with a clear story and editing that suits the property.

The work needs:

- Natural, consistent colour. Clean whites, believable skin tones and timber, controlled highlights, and interiors that match from shot to shot.
- Strong shot selection, spatial flow and pacing. Know when to hold a beautiful shot and when to move the edit along.
- Thoughtful music and sound design, clear dialogue and balanced audio.
- Clean captions and motion graphics, plus confident masking, tracking and speed ramps where they improve the film.
- Organised projects, reliable exports and tidy handover files.

You should be confident in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, with After Effects or Fusion skills where needed. Strong Final Cut editors are also welcome if they can provide a workable project handover.

I value people who notice things: a missing shot, a colour mismatch, an unclear brief or a better opening. You should ask useful questions, suggest improvements, flag delays early and apply feedback without needing every detail spelled out.

This is a full-time remote role, 40 hours per week. The salary range is US$1,200–1,600 per month depending on your work and the paid test. Please tell us your availability for overlap with Sydney business hours.

To apply, please send:

1. Three direct video links: your two strongest property films and one agent or social reel. Choose individual videos that play without an access request. A portfolio homepage can be included as an extra.
2. For each video, tell us exactly what you did: editing, colour, sound, graphics and/or filming. Clearly label team work and practice edits.
3. Tell us which of the three is your strongest, why you made one specific editing choice, and one thing you would improve now. A few sentences is enough.
4. Your software, expected monthly pay in USD for 40 hours per week, current work commitments, available start date and Sydney overlap.
5. Your editing Instagram account, if you use one. This is optional.

Shortlisted editors will be invited to a paid editing test using the same footage and brief. The test will include one feedback round and a short project walkthrough. There is no unpaid test required to apply.

We're looking for someone who cares about the finished work and wants to build a strong working relationship.
