We are looking for a careful graphic designer and research assistant to replace old, low-quality logo files with accurate, clean versions for a large online database.
This is accuracy and production work—not creative logo design.
## Responsibilities
* Identify the correct logo from the information provided.
* Search official websites, archived websites and other reliable sources for the best available version.
* Record the source URL for every logo found.
* Manually recreate low-resolution logos when no suitable vector version exists.
* Preserve the original shapes, typography, colours, spacing and proportions.
* Export files according to the required naming and formatting rules.
* Flag uncertain identities, unreadable text or conflicting versions instead of guessing.
* Maintain a spreadsheet showing the source and status of every logo.
## Required skills
* Strong Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, CorelDRAW or equivalent vector-editing experience.
* Proven experience with manual vector tracing and logo reconstruction.
* Good online research skills.
* Excellent attention to typography, spacing, curves and alignment.
* Ability to follow detailed instructions consistently.
* Good written English.
* Reliable communication and careful file organisation.
## Deliverables
For each approved logo:
* Editable SVG.
* Transparent PNG at the requested dimensions.
* Editable AI, EPS or equivalent source file.
* Clean vector paths without embedded low-resolution images.
* Correct file name.
* Source URL and a brief source note.
Logos must be exact reconstructions. Do not modernise, redesign, simplify or invent missing details. Do not use automatic tracing without carefully cleaning and checking the result. AI-generated approximations are not acceptable.
## Paid Test
Shortlisted candidates will receive the same paid test involving five logos of varying difficulty. The test will assess:
* Correct identification of each logo.
* Quality and reliability of the sources.
* Accuracy of typography, spacing and colours.
* Quality of the vector paths.
* File organisation and naming.
* Ability to recognise and report uncertainty.
Applicants who complete the test successfully may be offered regular part-time work involving a large collection of logos.
## How to Apply
Please include:
1. A short introduction.
2. Examples of logos you have manually reconstructed from poor-quality images.
3. Before-and-after examples, if available.
4. The vector software you use.
5. Your preferred hourly rate.
6. Your weekly availability.
7. A brief explanation of how you verify that you have found the correct logo.
8. The words **“Exact Logo Recreation”** at the beginning of your application.
Please do not apply if your portfolio consists mainly of Canva templates or automatically generated logos. We need someone who is patient, methodical and capable of producing accurate vector artwork.
Salary
US$5 per hour, initially for 10–20 hours per week. This is a long-term position for the right person. Hours and pay may increase after the initial trial period based on accuracy, reliability and productivity.
The five-logo selection test will be paid.
