Company: Van Buren Ventures (Airport Parking Phoenix & Desert Drives LLC)
Type: Remote, Independent Contractor
Schedule: Thursday–Monday, 10:00 PM–7:00 AM Phoenix (Arizona) time — fixed schedule, 5 nights/week (45 hrs/week)
Pay: $6.00/hour, paid via Wise (~$1,350/month at 45 hrs/week)

About the Role

We're hiring a VA to monitor our property security cameras overnight and handle ongoing bookkeeping for two business lines — Airport Parking Phoenix (B2B commercial parking/storage) and Desert Drives LLC (gig-economy vehicle rental fleet). Camera monitoring is structured, not continuous: you'll respond to motion alerts as they come in and do a spot check every 20 minutes, with bookkeeping filling the time in between.

Note for applicants: this schedule falls during normal daytime hours in the Philippines, not overnight — a great fit if you prefer working while your household sleeps at night.

Responsibilities

Security Camera Monitoring

Respond promptly to motion alerts on property cameras (parking lots, fleet storage areas)
Perform a spot check of all camera feeds every 20 minutes, even with no alert
Watch for unauthorized access, vandalism, theft, or tampering
Log i ---------- with timestamp/location/description
Escalate suspicious activity immediately per escalation protocol

Bookkeeping & Accounting

Maintain separate ledgers for Airport Parking Phoenix and Desert Drives LLC
Enter and categorize daily transactions by entity
Process payments and track AP/AR — vendor invoices, renter/tenant payments
Monthly reconciliation of bank/payment statements per entity
Prepare monthly financial summaries per business line
Keep books audit-ready year-round
Requirements
Bookkeeping experience, ideally with multiple entities/clients
Able to stay alert overnight-equivalent hours and reliably check in every 20 minutes, 5 nights/week
Reliable high-speed internet and power backup (critical — missed alerts due to connectivity issues are not acceptable)
Strong written English for i ---------- logs and financial reports
Trustworthy, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Experience with QuickBooks/Xero or similar preferred
Nice to Have
Prior security/camera monitoring experience
Experience in transportation, fleet, or parking industries
