JOB OVERVIEW

PAY AND HOURS - READ THIS FIRST

I am putting this at the top instead of the bottom, because I would rather you stop reading now than after you have done a test task.

Rate: $2.50 - $3.00 USD per hour, depending on experience.

One-month trial: 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday (roughly $220 - $260 for the month)

After the trial: full-time, 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday (roughly $430 - $520 per month)

This is not a premium rate and I am not going to pretend otherwise. What it is, is stable, long-term, and honest about itself from the first line. If that number does not work for you, close this now with no hard feelings - you are not wrong to want more, and I would rather you told me at the start than three months in.

At the end of the trial month we both d ---------- . You say whether you want to go full-time, I say whether I want you to. If either answer is no, we stop there with nothing owed either way.

WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS

Amazon private label operations, across multiple accounts and marketplaces (US, UK, CA, AU).

Day to day:

- Keyword research, then writing listings from it - title, bullets, description, backend search terms - inside Amazon's character and byte limits and inside Amazon's rules on what you may and may not claim
- Producing listing images with AI: main image, the seven-image gallery, A+ and Premium A+ modules
- Creating and managing Sponsored Products / Brands / Display campaigns, reading the reports, and changing bids and negatives because of what the data says
- Booking deals, setting up coupons, monitoring them
- Listing maintenance: suppressions, compliance flags, category and browse node issues, appeals and Plans of Action when they are needed

This is an operations job. AI is a tool inside it, not the point of it.

STRICT SOP COMPLIANCE - THE PART MOST PEOPLE UNDERESTIMATE

Almost everything here is done against a written SOP. Image dimensions, file naming, what may be claimed about a product, how a deal is booked, what goes in a calendar entry.

These are not style preferences. On our accounts a wrong character in a file name makes a bulk upload fail silently - the asset never goes live and nothing reports an error. An unsupported claim in a bullet can suppress a listing. A missing field in a calendar entry breaks an automated check downstream.

I need someone who reads the document, follows it exactly, and tells me when the document does not cover the situation - rather than guessing and carrying on. If following written process precisely bores you, this is the wrong job and we will both find that out in week two.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

- Two years or more of hands-on Amazon operations experience, inside Seller Central yourself, not producing assets for someone else to upload
- Listing creation from keyword research, with a real keyword tool (Helium 10, DataDive, Jungle Scout, SellerSprite - name yours)
- AI image production for listings, including A+ and main images
- PPC: you have built campaigns and changed them based on reports, not just watched someone else do it
- Written and spoken English good enough to read a compliance policy and write copy that sells
- Overlap with Australian business hours (Manila is 2 hours behind Sydney, so normal Philippine working hours are fine)

Nice to have, not required: video editing or AI video, Shopify, experience with health, beauty or personal care categories.

HOW TO APPLY

Put the word WOMBAT at the top of your application. I use it to see who reads to the end. Applications without it are not read.

Then answer these. Short answers are fine. Made-up answers are worse than short ones.

1. Which Amazon accounts or brands have you worked on? Give me one live ASIN or storefront link I can open.

2. How many years have you personally worked inside Seller Central? What do you do in there in a normal week?

3. What tool do you use for keyword research, and what do you do with the export once you have it?

4. Which AI tools do you use for listing images? Send me ONE image you made yourself, and tell me: what the first generation got wrong, what you changed, and how many attempts it took. The failed versions are more useful to me than the finished one.

5. In your experience, what is the most common way AI product images go wrong, and how do you catch it before it goes live?

6. Have you handled a suppressed listing, a policy warning, or a compliance appeal? Describe one - what was wrong, what you actually did in Seller Central, and how long it took.

7. Your rate, and when you could start.

BONUS QUESTION - this is the one I read first

Pick any product that is currently number one in its category on Amazon. Send me the link, and tell me five things you would change about its listing and why.

You are allowed to tell me it is already good and that there is nothing worth changing - if that is your honest read, say so and explain it. I am not testing whether you can find faults. I am testing whether you can look at a page and see what is actually driving it.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT HOW I WORK

I read every application properly and I reply to everyone, including no.

If I ask you to do a test task, it will be short - an hour or two of work, not a day of it.

I would rather you tell me you do not know something than guess. Asking questions before you start is a good sign, not a bad one.

Thanks for reading this far.
