JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description

We are a U.S.-based commercial printing company seeking a full-time remote Graphic Designer & Print Production Specialist based in the Philippines.

This is not simply a graphic design position. The employee will be responsible for creating and preparing customer artwork for actual print production and assisting with the remote operation of our commercial printing systems.

You will work remotely on our Windows-based production environment and use Adobe Illustrator as the primary graphic design platform.

Our production equipment includes:

Roland VersaSTUDIO BN2-20A Print & Cut System
ColDesi DTF 24H2 Direct-to-Film Printing System

You will prepare artwork, set up production files, create print layouts and gang sheets, prepare contour-cut files, operate the applicable print/RIP software, send jobs to production, and work with our on-site staff who handle the physical loading, unloading, finishing, and maintenance of the equipment.

Work Schedule

Full-Time — 40 Hours Per Week

Monday-Friday
9:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time (New York time)

Applicants must be able to consistently work U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

This is an overnight schedule for employees located in the Philippines.

Responsibilities
Create professional customer designs using Adobe Illustrator
Prepare customer artwork for commercial printing
Create and edit vector artwork
Vectorize customer logos and graphics
Clean up low-quality customer artwork
Resize and modify designs
Prepare T-shirt and apparel graphics
Create DTF transfer artwork
Build and optimize DTF gang sheets
Create stickers, decals and product labels
Prepare heat-transfer graphics
Create proper contour-cut lines
Set up bleeds, margins and production specifications
Convert customer files into print-ready artwork
Check resolution, dimensions and color settings before production
Prepare files for the Roland VersaSTUDIO BN2-20A
Prepare and remotely manage Roland print-and-cut jobs
Prepare files for the ColDesi DTF 24H2
Use the appropriate RIP and print-production software
Set print sizes, quantities, nesting and production layouts
Review print queues and production jobs
Coordinate remotely with employees physically operating the equipment
Troubleshoot artwork, software and basic print-production problems
Make customer revisions quickly and accurately
Maintain organized customer and production files
Perform final digital quality-control checks before jobs are printed
Help reduce wasted film, vinyl, ink and other production materials through efficient layouts
Wage / Salary

$7.00 USD per hour

40 hours per week

Approximately $1,200 USD per month, depending on hours worked.

Long-term, full-time position with the opportunity for increased compensation based on performance, reliability, skill development and production knowledge.

Skill Requirements
Required
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
Strong graphic design skills
Strong vector-design skills
Experience preparing files for professional printing
Experience designing for apparel, stickers, decals, labels or similar products
Knowledge of RGB and CMYK color
Understanding of DPI and image resolution
Understanding of vector vs. raster graphics
Ability to create contour cut lines
Ability to create print-ready PDF, AI, EPS, SVG and PNG files
Experience using Windows
Strong computer skills
Ability to learn specialized printing and RIP software
Strong attention to detail
Excellent file organization
Ability to follow written production procedures
Ability to work independently
Reliable communication
Good written and spoken English
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Reliable Windows computer and remote-work environment
Ability to work 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday-Friday

DTF printing
ColDesi DTF printers
ColDesi DTF 24H2
DTF Print Optimizer or RIP software
Gang-sheet creation
Print-and-cut production

Sticker production
Apparel printing
Heat transfers
Commercial print production

Previous experience with the exact Roland or ColDesi equipment is preferred but not mandatory. We are willing to train an exceptional Adobe Illustrator designer who has strong technical skills and commercial print-production experience.

We are looking for someone who can eventually take a customer order through the complete digital production process:

Customer Artwork → Graphic Design → Artwork Cleanup → Print-Ready File → RIP/Production Setup → Print Queue → Quality Control → Production

The ideal candidate is creative but also technical, organized and production-focused. Accuracy and reliability are just as important as creativity.
