JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a C# Developer to join our software development team and contribute to the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of our projects.

The ideal candidate has solid experience with C# ---------- development and is comfortable working with existing systems and codebases. Experience with Sage 300, or other ERP/business systems is a strong plus, as the role involves building and maintaining applications that integrate with our ERP platforms.

We are looking for someone who can understand an existing application quickly, troubleshoot issues, develop practical solutions, and work collaboratively with the team to deliver reliable software.

This role is well suited to a developer who enjoys working across both modern and legacy technologies and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance C# applications that integrate with ERP’s (such as Sage 300 and Acumatica).
• Build and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms/APIs (e.g., tax, ERP, and other business systems)
• Maintain and support legacy VB6 applications including existing Sage screens handling upgrades and fixes.
• Quickly get up to speed on existing or inherited codebases and projects, understanding established application architecture and development practices without requiring extensive handover.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues efficiently, minimizing disruption to existing systems and users.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and practices.
• Collaborate closely with QA, business stakeholders, and other team members — asking the right questions up front to clarify specs and requirements and minimize back-and-forth revision cycles.
• Investigate technical issues and identify practical, scalable solutions.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# ---------- .
• Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production software.
• Experience working with existing/legacy codebases and the ability to understand unfamiliar systems.
• Experience with APIs, backend services, and software integrations.
• Good understanding of software development principles, debugging, version control, and code quality.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with sound judgement for spotting gaps or ambiguity in requirements to prevent unnecessary revision cycles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while communicating effectively with the wider development team.
• Clear, fast, and easy-to-understand communicator: explains technical issues in plain terms, asks the right questions early, and keeps response turnaround quick.

• Thinks beyond the literal spec: proactively spots gaps, edge cases, and “unknown unknowns" in requirements
• Has (or is actively developing) business intuition: understands the why behind a request, not just the what, especially in an ERP/business-systems context.
• Is detail-oriented without losing sight of business priorities.
