JOB OVERVIEW

We're a fast-growing ecommerce brand looking for an AI Video Editor to join our creative team. This role is centered on AI video generation, you'll be creating most content using tools like Kling, Runway, and Seedance rather than live-action footage, but we still need someone with real editing chops who can polish that footage into fast-paced, conversion-focused video ads that drive sales.

This role starts part-time with a clear path to full-time (increased hours and pay) for the right person once we've worked together and seen consistent results.

Responsibilities

- Generate video ad content primarily using AI tools (Kling, Runway, Seedance, ElevenLabs, or similar)

- Build fast-paced, hook-driven video ads for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts entirely from AI-generated clips, avatars, and voiceovers

- Assemble and polish AI-generated footage in CapCut or Premiere Pro, adding captions, sound design, and pacing built for retention

- Study ad libraries and competitor video creative (using tools like Foreplay) to reverse-engineer winning formats and rebuild them using AI generation

- Build a reusable library of AI prompts, hooks, and templates that can be quickly adapted across products and offers

- Analyze what's working (and what isn't) in live ad performance and apply those learnings to future AI-generated edits

- Collaborate with the marketing team to test and iterate based on data

Requirements

- Proven, hands-on experience with AI video generation tools (Kling, Runway, Seedance, ElevenLabs, or similar) — this is the core of the role, not a bonus skill

- Strong ability to generate photorealistic AI video, our product is real furniture, so AI output must look convincingly real, not "AI-looking," with accurate proportions, materials, and lighting

- Portfolio or reel showing AI-generated or AI-assisted video ad work (required)

- Comfortable writing strong AI video prompts to get consistent, on-brand output

- Working knowledge of CapCut or Premiere Pro for final assembly, captions, and sound design

- Strong sense of pacing, hooks, and what makes short-form video stop the scroll

- Clear written and verbal English communication
