JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for a freelancer/specialist to take over and optimize our email marketing in Mailchimp. We've built campaigns ourselves, but results (open rates/conversions) have been declining and we want to get this back on track.

What you'll do:

Audit and optimize our existing Mailchimp account and flows
Set up new campaigns and run A/B tests (subject lines, timing, segmentation)
Assess and responsibly reactivate an older lead list (~80,000 contacts originally sourced from advertising campaigns)
Provide reporting and improvement recommendations

What we're looking for:

Proven experience with Mailchimp (automations, segmentation, deliverability)
Knowledge of email marketing best practices and GDPR rules around opt-in and reactivation
Experience "cleaning"/reactivating older or less active lists
Independent, results-driven, strong written communication
Setup: freelance / hourly or project-based (adjust as needed)

Duration: trial period first, with potential for a longer collaboration

A few things worth keeping in mind as you interview candidates:
The lead list itself carries risk for your Mailchimp account. A list of 80,000 contacts that hasn't been emailed in a while, originally sourced from advertising (meaning it may lack explicit email opt-in), often produces high bounce and spam-complaint rates if emailed all at once. Mailchimp actively monitors this and can pause campaigns or suspend accounts over abnormal metrics. An experienced specialist will likely want to:

First verify whether explicit opt-in consent for email was ever obtained, and be able to document it

Reactivate the list gradually in small batches rather than all at once

Run the list through email verification/list cleaning before sending
