ABOUT THIS RECRUITMENT

Décalage Solutions is building a small, skilled, values-aligned remote core team. We are recruiting for multiple paid positions across several areas of the business.

This is not one position requiring one person to perform every function listed below. We are looking for professionals with genuine expertise in different areas. We would rather hire several people with demonstrated depth in their respective fields than one person who claims to do everything.

Opportunities may be part-time, project-based, or ongoing, depending on the function, current business needs, and each applicant’s demonstrated ability.

Compensation ranges from $8 to $15 USD per hour, depending on the role, experience, and demonstrated level of skill.

These opportunities are open only to women and transgender applicants.

Across every position, we want professionals who communicate directly, think critically, recognize problems, recommend solutions, take responsibility for their work, and care about the success of the company.

ABOUT DÉCALAGE SOLUTIONS

Décalage Solutions is a feminist company serving women who are creating social, political, and community change.

Our growing business includes private advisory and coaching, online education, community programming, retreats, speaking, writing, content creation, conscious travel, partnerships, and other values-led projects.

We are building a financially successful business without separating commercial success from political and ethical responsibility.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Our work is grounded in intersectional feminism.

This means we understand that gender inequality cannot be separated from racism, colonialism, class, disability, sexuality, gender identity, migration, economic inequality, and other systems of power.

Our values include:

* Feminism that challenges patriarchy rather than helping individual women succeed at the expense of others
* Anti-racism and an active commitment to confronting white supremacy
* Anti-colonial practice and respect for Indigenous sovereignty, knowledge, and self-determination
* Palestinian liberation and meaningful commitment to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement
* LGBTQ+ inclusion and respect for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities
* Disability justice and accessibility
* Economic and labour justice
* Human rights, collective liberation, and community responsibility
* Ethical consumption and corporate accountability
* Trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and non-exploitative ways of working
* Respect for women’s autonomy, expertise, bodies, choices, and leadership
* Recognition that no person’s liberation should depend upon the oppression, exploitation, or disposability of another community

We do not practise a feminism that centres only privileged women, treats individual corporate success as liberation, ignores racism and colonialism, excludes transgender people, or remains silent about genocide and state violence.

This is not a politically neutral workplace.

Identity alone does not establish values alignment. Being a woman or transgender does not automatically mean that someone understands or supports feminism, intersectionality, anti-racism, anti-colonial practice, Palestinian liberation, LGBTQ+ rights, or BDS.

Applicants must understand these commitments, take them seriously, and demonstrate how they would affect their actual work.

AREAS IN WHICH WE ARE RECRUITING

We are recruiting professionals with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:

* Operations and project management
* Executive assistance
* Administrative and virtual assistance
* Launch strategy and coordination
* Funnel implementation and testing
* Email marketing and automation
* Copywriting and sales-page support
* Social-media strategy, management, and scheduling
* Video editing and content production
* Systems, standard operating procedures, and workflow development
* Client experience and customer support
* Retreat and event coordination
* Partnership, sponsorship, and affiliate development
* Travel, venue, and hospitality coordination
* Website, technology, and platform support
* Contractor and team coordination
* Progress reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking
*Bookkeeping, accounting, and cross-border financial compliance, including Canadian, U.S., and Paraguayan requirements, with the ability and willingness to research additional jurisdictions as needed

We are not looking for one person to perform every function.

Do not claim that you can perform everything listed. Identify the areas in which you have genuine professional competence and provide evidence of what you have accomplished.

Applicants must explain:

* What they can perform independently at a professional level
* What they can perform with direction
* What they are currently learning
* What they are not qualified to perform
* What measurable results they have previously produced

Honest self-assessment is part of professional competence.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for people who:

* Read complete instructions carefully
* Pay attention to context, details, and deadlines
* Are genuinely skilled, not simply willing to try
* Can provide evidence of previous work and results
* Communicate clearly, directly, and confidently in English
* Ask thoughtful questions when information is missing or unclear
* Are comfortable communicating through written messages, meetings, video, and voice notes
* Can give, receive, and implement constructive feedback
* Think critically rather than automatically agreeing
* Can respectfully challenge an idea and explain their reasoning
* Notice problems and propose practical solutions
* Exercise independent professional judgment
* Take ownership of their work, decisions, and mistakes
* Meet deadlines and arrive prepared and on time
* Communicate early when a genuine emergency affects a commitment
* Can distinguish between an unavoidable emergency and a competing personal priority
* Work independently without disappearing, silently guessing, or requiring constant supervision
* Care about quality, client experience, revenue, and measurable business results
* Are emotionally intelligent, mature, dependable, discreet, and professional
* Can communicate professionally with senior leaders, clients, partners, sponsors, affiliates, venues, speakers, and other organizations
* Want to contribute to a strong team rather than complete disconnected tasks mechanically

We do not want “yes people.”

If you see a problem, risk, inconsistency, or better way to accomplish something, we expect you to raise it respectfully. We value informed professional opinions, sound reasoning, and people who can explain why they recommend a particular approach.

Discussion must lead to action. Strong communication is not a substitute for completing excellent work.

FEMINIST VALUES, ETHICAL JUDGMENT, AND BDS

Every team member must remain aware of the company’s ethical commitments and apply them consistently.

Décalage Solutions supports Palestinian liberation and takes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement seriously.

Team members must not select or recommend companies, platforms, products, speakers, venues, sponsors, affiliates, partners, media outlets, suppliers, or service providers without considering who owns them, what they support, and whether working with them is consistent with our values.

This responsibility applies to every role.

Team members may be expected to:

* Research company ownership, parent companies, investors, partnerships, and corporate conduct
* Check companies and products for known BDS targets and other ethical concerns
* Consider anti-racist, anti-colonial, feminist, LGBTQ+ inclusive, disability, labour, environmental, and human-rights implications
* Identify potential conflicts before presenting a recommendation
* Explain the evidence and reasoning behind an assessment
* Recommend ethical alternatives when an option is not aligned
* Continue monitoring relevant information rather than assuming that a company’s status will never change

If you do not know whether something is aligned, you are expected to investigate and ask.

You must never assume that an option is acceptable simply because it is popular, convenient, profitable, or used by other companies.

Applicants will be tested on their understanding of our values and on how they would apply those values within their specific area of work.

Repeating definitions or copying our language will not demonstrate alignment. Applicants must be able to evaluate unfamiliar situations, identify ethical concerns, conduct appropriate research, and make reasoned recommendations.

QUALITY CONTROL AND DEFINITION OF COMPLETION

Work must not be represented as complete until it has been reviewed and tested.

Depending on the responsibility, quality control may include:

* Checking every link and button
* Testing forms, payment processes, email sequences, automations, and scheduling systems
* Reviewing work on desktop and mobile devices
* Confirming that the complete client or customer journey functions as intended
* Checking names, dates, prices, spelling, formatting, permissions, and access
* Verifying that claims, research, and recommendations are accurate
* Confirming BDS and broader ethical alignment
* Ensuring that the work meets the complete original brief
* Reporting anything that remains incomplete, uncertain, or untested

“Complete” means that the work has been finished, checked, and shown to function.

It does not mean that something has merely been drafted, uploaded, scheduled, or assumed to work.

Team members must communicate progress without waiting to be chased. If a deadline, deliverable, or result is at risk, we expect early communication together with a proposed solution.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Life happens, and genuine emergencies occur. Professional accountability means communicating promptly, taking responsibility, and helping protect the work when circumstances change.

Repeated lateness, last-minute notice about foreseeable conflicts, missed instructions, unexplained absences, unfinished work, or excuses in place of accountability will not be compatible with this team.

If you commit to a meeting, deadline, or agreed working period, we expect you to organize your other responsibilities accordingly.

Mistakes can be discussed and corrected. Dishonesty, repeated carelessness, misrepresentation of ability, and refusal to take responsibility cannot.

We are interested in what you can reliably contribute, not promises unsupported by evidence.

AI USE

We use AI in our work. Applicants may use AI tools to help organize, edit, or refine their applications and work.

Using AI is not a problem.

Using AI to misrepresent your experience, judgment, communication ability, knowledge, or technical competence is a problem.

We assume that some applicants will place this posting into an AI tool and generate polished answers. A polished application will not be treated as evidence that you can perform the work.

You must be able to explain and defend everything submitted under your name. You may be asked detailed follow-up questions about any answer, claim, recommendation, or work sample.

Shortlisted applicants will be tested through live discussion, unfamiliar scenarios, verification of previous work, and a paid practical assessment.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit a concise, personalized application that answers every question below.

1. Which specific area or areas listed in this posting are you applying for?

2. What are your three strongest professional skills?

3. Which responsibilities can you perform independently at a professional level?

4. Which responsibility listed here should we not hire you to perform, and why?

5. Describe one project for which you took meaningful ownership. What were you responsible for, what problem arose, and what result did you produce?

6. Describe a time you disagreed with a client or supervisor. How did you communicate your concern, and what happened?

7. Describe a professional mistake you made. How did you address it?

8. What does intersectional feminism mean to you, and how has it influenced a decision you have made?

9. What is your understanding of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement?

10. Imagine that a potentially profitable sponsor, affiliate, platform, or business partner has a connection to a BDS target or a record of human-rights violations. Explain exactly what you would do before making a recommendation.

11. What would you do if you noticed that company content, a potential partner, or another team member’s recommendation conflicted with the stated values of Décalage Solutions?

12. How could your specific area of work contribute to both our mission and the financial success of the company?

13. What working hours can you reliably commit to? Include your time zone, availability, internet reliability, and current work commitments.

14. What is your expected hourly rate?

15. Provide links to relevant work samples, case studies, or a portfolio. Explain what part of each example you personally completed.

16. Include a link to a short video or voice introduction of no more than two minutes. Tell us why you are interested in Décalage Solutions and what you could contribute.

Begin your application with this sentence:

“I read the complete posting. I am applying in the area of __________.”

Generic, copied, mass-produced, or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Statements that you are hardworking, passionate, loyal, dedicated, or willing to learn are not evidence of competence. Show us how you think, communicate, solve problems, and produce results.

SELECTION PROCESS

Our selection process is rigorous because we are looking for demonstrated ability, judgment, emotional intelligence, reliability, and values alignment.

Depending on the role, the process may include:

* Review of the complete written application
* Verification of previous work and results
* A short exploration meeting
* Detailed follow-up questions
* Live values and judgment scenarios
* A small, time-limited paid practical assessment
* Reference verification
* A clearly defined paid trial period
* Written expectations, deadlines, and performance measures

Before beginning a paid assessment, the applicant will receive the following information in writing:

* The task
* The expected deliverable
* The maximum authorized time
* The payment
* The deadline
* The evaluation criteria

Completing an assessment does not guarantee ongoing work.

Applicants may be evaluated on:

* Role-specific technical skill
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Quality of judgment
* Emotional intelligence
* Ability to follow the complete brief
* Ability to identify missing information
* Clear and timely communication
* Appropriate use of AI and other tools
* Ability to explain decisions
* Application of feminist and ethical values
* Understanding and application of BDS
* Ability to receive and implement feedback
* Reliability and respect for deadlines
* Honest representation of competence
* Overall quality of completed work

Only agreed tasks and authorized time will be paid. Applicants must not exceed the stated time limit, expand the assignment, or perform additional work without written approval.

PAID TRIAL PERIOD AND CONTINUED WORK

Applicants who successfully complete the selection process may be offered a limited paid trial period for a specific role.

Each trial period will have clearly defined:

* Responsibilities
* Authorized working hours
* Deliverables
* Deadlines
* Communication expectations
* Performance standards
* Evaluation dates

Continued work depends on meeting the written standards established for the role.

Décalage Solutions may end a trial or working relationship if a team member:

* Cannot demonstrate the skills represented in their application
* Misrepresents experience, availability, competence, working time, or completed work
* Repeatedly misses or misunderstands clear instructions
* Produces work below the agreed standard
* Fails to meet agreed deadlines
* Does not communicate promptly about problems
* Requires substantially more supervision than the role permits
* Does not receive or implement feedback
* Is repeatedly unavailable during agreed working periods
* Records unauthorized hours or performs unauthorized work
* Does not meet the role’s written performance measures
* Disregards the company’s feminist, political, BDS, or ethical commitments

All authorized work completed up to the end of the arrangement will be paid. Ending the arrangement means that no additional work or hours will be assigned.

Please apply only if you are comfortable having your stated skills, professional judgment, emotional intelligence, reliability, and values alignment tested.

We are building a company with ambitious goals, substantive values, and high professional standards.

We want people who are proud to contribute to work that matters, who care whether the business succeeds, and who possess the professional discipline to help make that success possible.
