We are looking for an experienced Government Contract Proposal Writer / Bid Specialist to help our company identify, review, prepare, and submit government contracting opportunities.
Your main responsibility will be to read government solicitations/RFQs/RFPs, understand exactly what the agency is requesting, and prepare professional, compliant proposals for submission.
Responsibilities
* Review government contract opportunities and solicitation documents
* Read and understand RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, SOWs, and other bid documents
* Identify all requirements, deadlines, qualifications, and required documents
* Determine whether an opportunity is a good fit for our company
* Write clear and professional government contract proposals
* Prepare technical responses, capability information, past-performance sections, and other required documents
* Follow solicitation instructions carefully to make sure proposals are compliant
* Create proposal checklists so nothing is missing before submission
* Assist with pricing/bid documents using information provided by our team
* Organize documents and maintain records of submitted opportunities
* Help prepare and submit bids before deadlines
* Research information needed to strengthen proposals
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience writing U.S. government contract proposals
* Understands government procurement and solicitation documents
* Has experience with RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and SOWs
* Has strong English reading and writing skills
* Is extremely detail-oriented
* Can follow complicated instructions and deadlines
* Can research and understand unfamiliar industries
* Can work independently and communicate clearly
* Understands proposal compliance and how government bids are evaluated
Experience with SAM.gov, federal contracting, state/local government contracting, capability statements, NAICS codes, FAR requirements, and government procurement is a major plus.
