JOB OVERVIEW

Position: WordPress & WooCommerce Store Manager / Customer Service
Location: Remote
Store: Canadian eCommerce Business
Pay: Starting at 700 CAD/month (~500 USD)
Schedule: Daily availability, with an important morning check at 8–9 AM EST
Payment: Twice per month or another arrangement that works for both sides

Who We Are Looking For

The most important thing to us is reliability.

This is not a difficult job technically. The systems and processes are straightforward.

What makes someone successful in this position is being the person we can trust to:

Check the store → Process orders → Respond to customers → Follow up on unpaid orders → Keep everything organized → Let us know when something needs attention.

We don't want someone who needs to be constantly told what to do.

We want someone experienced who can eventually look at the business and say:

"I see what needs to be done, and I'll take care of it."

If you are organized, experienced with WordPress/WooCommerce, have time during the day, and are looking for a stable long-term position with room to grow, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and organized person to help manage the day-to-day operations of our Canadian eCommerce store.

This is a long-term position for someone who has experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, order management, and customer service and who is looking for a stable role where they can grow with a business.

The work itself is straightforward and does not require sitting at a computer for 8 hours straight. The most important thing is being available throughout the day to check the store regularly, process orders on time, and make sure customers are taken care of.

In terms of actual hands-on work, this will generally be around 4–6 hours per day or less, depending on the day. The rest of the time is mainly being available to monitor the store and respond when something comes in.

Main Responsibilities
1. Order Management

This will be one of the most important responsibilities.

Check the store approximately every 30–60 minutes for new orders and payments
Once payment is received, move the order into processing
Make sure orders are processed promptly and do not sit waiting unnecessarily
Generate/print shipping labels when required
Check for any issues with orders or payments
Complete the morning order check and make sure everything is fully up to date

The morning check around 8–9 AM EST is especially important.

2. Customer Service

We receive a relatively small number of customer emails each day, but every message needs to be handled professionally and on time.

Responsibilities include:

Checking the customer service inbox throughout the day
Responding to customer questions and requests
Following up on customer issues
Making sure no customer messages are left unanswered
Providing friendly and professional support

You will be given the information and guidelines needed to handle common customer questions.

3. Unpaid Order Follow-Ups

When a customer places an order but has not completed payment:

Monitor unpaid orders
After approximately one hour, send a friendly reminder email
Remind the customer that their order is waiting for payment
Encourage them to complete the purchase and use any applicable discount
Track customers who complete their purchase after being contacted

We also offer performance bonuses based on customers successfully saved from unpaid orders.

4. Store Monitoring & Improvement

We don't just want someone who follows instructions.

We want someone who can think for themselves and take ownership of the store.

Part of the job will be:

Keeping an eye on the website
Looking for things that could be improved
Noticing problems before they become bigger issues
Identifying potential improvements to the customer experience
Checking that WordPress and WooCommerce are functioning properly
Bringing new ideas and suggestions to us

If you notice something that could make the business run better, we want you to tell us.

Compensation

Starting salary:

700 CAD/month (~500 USD/month)

We are willing to pay competitively for the right person because we are looking for someone who will take the position seriously and stay with us long term.

Payment can be made twice per month, or we can discuss another payment schedule that works well for both sides.

Additional Benefits
Guaranteed monthly salary
Performance-based bonuses
Bonuses for successfully recovering unpaid orders
Potential raises as responsibilities increase
Paid time off when proper notice is provided
Opportunity to grow into a larger management role
Long-term position with a growing business
Opportunity to Grow

We operate multiple websites and have plans to continue growing.

The initial role will focus primarily on WooCommerce order management, customer service, and store monitoring, but we are looking for someone who can eventually take on more responsibility.

If you do a great job, learn our systems, and show that you can manage things independently, there will be opportunities to:

Take responsibility for additional websites
Manage more areas of the business
Take on additional WordPress/WooCommerce responsibilities
Receive raises
Become a more senior operations/management team member

We are specifically looking for someone who wants to grow with the business rather than simply work a temporary job.

We are looking for someone with:

Previous experience with WordPress
Strong experience with WooCommerce
Experience managing online stores
Customer service experience
Good written English
Strong attention to detail
Reliable internet connection
Ability to work independently
Ability to follow processes consistently
Good communication
Ability to notice problems and take initiative
Availability to check the store regularly throughout the day
Ability to be available

How to Apply

Please send us:

Your previous experience with WordPress and WooCommerce
Any eCommerce stores you have previously managed
Your customer service experience
Your availability during the day
Your experience with order processing and shipping
How long you have worked in similar positions
Why you believe you would be a good fit for this position

Please be honest about your experience and availability. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term working relationship.
