**Employment Type:** Freelance / Project-Based Contractor
**Work Setup:** Remote – Philippines
**Compensation:** **$2 USD per completed image**
We are looking for skilled **AI Product Graphic Designers / Photoshop Retouchers** to join our growing creative team.
This is a **freelance, project-based contractor role and is not full-time employment**. Projects are assigned as client work becomes available, so weekly volume may vary and there is no guaranteed minimum number of projects, images, hours, or income.
We are specifically looking for designers who can create **realistic, high-quality e-commerce product images using Photoshop and AI tools while keeping every important product detail completely accurate**.
Making an image visually attractive is not enough.
You must be able to recognize when AI has changed a product's logo, packaging, proportions, colors, materials, text, or other important features—and know how to manually correct those problems in Photoshop.

* AI-assisted product photoshoots

* Product photo manipulation
* Product retouching
* Photorealistic product composites

# Hiring Process
Candidates who pass the initial application screening may move through the following steps:
1. **Portfolio Review**
2. **10-Minute Quality-Control Assessment**
3. **Portfolio / Photoshop Interview**
4. **Standardized Paid Design Test**
## Portfolio Review
We may compare your finished images directly against the original product references.
We will specifically check whether you preserved:
* Logo
* Packaging text
* Product color
* Proportions
* Materials
* Product features
We may also ask you to explain exactly what you created manually versus what was generated with AI.
## Quality-Control Assessment
Shortlisted applicants may receive a product image containing intentional errors.
Examples may include:
* Warped logo
* Incorrect product color
* Incorrect shadow
* Changed product material
* Distorted proportions
You will be asked to identify the problems and explain how you would correct them.
## Portfolio / Photoshop Interview
You may be asked to open a Photoshop project that you personally created and explain:
* What was AI-generated
* What was manually edited
* How the product was composited
* What problems you encountered
* How you protected logos and packaging
* How you handled feedback
* What you would improve if you created the image again
You may also be asked to show your Photoshop layers and working-file organization.
## Standardized Paid Test
Final candidates may be asked to complete a **paid design test**.
For example, you may receive one clean product packshot and be asked to:
* Create one realistic **4:5 lifestyle product image**
* Generate the environment using an approved AI tool
* Composite the original product manually in Photoshop
* Preserve the exact product logo
* Preserve all product text
* Preserve product color
* Preserve product proportions
* Preserve materials
* Preserve essential product features
* Deliver the final image
* Deliver an organized layered PSD
* Briefly explain your process
The test may use a fixed **2–3 hour working window**.
Applicants completing the same test will receive the same core product, brief, reference, deadline, requirements, and compensation.
We do **not** use unpaid client work as an applicant test.
# How We Evaluate Designers
Candidates are primarily evaluated on:
* **Product Accuracy – 30%**
* **Photoshop & Realism – 20%**
* **Brief Compliance – 15%**
* **Composition & Brand Fit – 10%**
* **Source-File Organization – 10%**
* **Speed & Reliability – 10%**
* **Communication & Ownership – 5%**
Critical product inaccuracies—including incorrect logos, packaging text, essential product features, materials, or proportions—may disqualify a candidate regardless of how attractive the final image looks.
A strong portfolio alone is not enough.
We are not simply looking for the cheapest applicant or the most confident designer.
We want someone who repeatedly demonstrates:
* Product accuracy
* Realism
* Strong Photoshop ability
* Attention to detail
* Reliability
* Coachability
* Clear communication
* Problem-solving
* Ownership of their work
A great designer should not simply generate an attractive image.
They should recognize when something is wrong, manually correct it, protect the integrity of the product, communicate risks early, and consistently deliver organized professional work.
