Opportunity to grow into a higher-paid Social Media Manager position

About the Role:

I own a permanent makeup (PMU) studio and am looking for a creative, detail-oriented person to help me edit photos and create polished social media content for Instagram and TikTok.

To start, this will be a small part-time position focused primarily on professional photo editing/retouching and creating content from photos and videos that I provide.

I’m looking for someone with a strong eye for beauty content who understands that editing PMU work requires attention to detail. Photos should look polished and professional without being overly filtered or edited to the point where the actual results are misrepresented.

There is no formal education or professional qualification required. I care much more about your portfolio, creativity, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the effort you put into your work.

For the right person, I would love for this position to eventually grow into a larger Social Media Manager role with more hours and higher pay.

What You’ll Initially Help With:

* Professionally edit and retouch PMU photos
* Skin retouching and airbrushing while keeping results natural
* Correct lighting, color, cropping, backgrounds, etc.
* Edit before-and-after photos
* Turn raw photos/videos I provide into Instagram and TikTok content
* Edit short-form videos/Reels
* Create simple graphics, carousels or social posts when needed
* Follow the existing branding and aesthetic of my business
* Research current beauty, PMU, Instagram and TikTok trends
* Bring forward content ideas that could work well for my business
* Create approximately a couple of finished posts per week to start

Who I’m Looking For:

I am specifically looking for a female candidate for this role. You don’t necessarily need previous experience working specifically with a permanent makeup artist, but experience with beauty, aesthetics, makeup, skincare, salons, tattoos or similar visual industries is a big plus.

You should:

* Have a strong eye for aesthetics and detail
* Be comfortable with professional photo retouching/airbrushing
* Have experience with Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva, CapCut or similar editing programs
* Understand Instagram and TikTok content
* Be willing to research current trends rather than waiting for me to provide every idea
* Be creative and able to take direction
* Be willing to learn about the permanent makeup industry
* Communicate well and meet deadlines
* Be open to feedback and revisions
* Care about producing high-quality work rather than simply finishing a task

Pay & Growth

Starting pay is $5 USD/hour for approximately 5 hours per week ($25 USD/week), paid biweekly.

This is intentionally a small position to start because I want to find the right person and see how well we work together.

If you’re reliable, creative and consistently produce great work, I would like to gradually give you more responsibility and hours.

My goal is eventually to have someone who understands my brand well enough to take on a larger Social Media Manager position, including content planning, posting, trend research and helping grow the business’s social media presence.

That position would come with increased hours and higher compensation.

I’m looking for someone interested in building a long-term working relationship rather than just completing a few one-time editing projects.
