JOB OVERVIEW

About the Client
We are a growing African Hair Braiding business looking for a creative and reliable Social Media Manager to help us build our online presence, create engaging content, and attract more clients through social media.

This role is for someone who understands beauty, hair, braiding, local service businesses, and how to create posts that connect with customers.

Responsibilities
• Create social media captions for African hair braiding services
• Help plan and organize content ideas
• Create or edit simple graphics using Canva
• Schedule or publish posts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or other platforms
• Help showcase braiding styles, client results, promotions, and services
• Write engaging posts that encourage messages, calls, and appointment bookings
• Assist with hashtags, basic social media keywords, and local audience targeting
• Engage with comments and messages when needed
• Keep content organized and follow posting instructions
• Track what type of content performs well

Requirements
• Experience managing Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or similar platforms
• Basic Canva or graphic design skills
• Good English writing skills
• Understanding of beauty, hair, salon, or service-based businesses is preferred
• Ability to create simple, clean, and engaging captions
• Reliable internet connection
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Must be responsive and organized
• Experience with African hair braiding content is a plus

Success Metrics
• More consistent social media posting
• Increased engagement on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• More inquiries, messages, calls, and appointment bookings
• Better brand awareness for Aunty Car
• Improved content quality and online presence

Rate:
$5 USD per hour

Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday
11:00AM to 1PM CST
