About the role
I run a real estate brokerage and a real estate automation community in Austin, Texas. I publish long-form YouTube videos and short-form clips. I need one person to own the editing and posting end to end so that all I have to do is record.
What you will do
Edit my long-form YouTube videos. This is the main job. Cuts, pacing, b-roll, on-screen text, thumbnails, and uploading with title, description, tags, chapters, and end screens.
Run short-form through Opus Clip. Opus Clip handles the captions and most of the clipping. Your job is quality control on what it produces: every clip starts at the beginning of an idea and ends at the end of an idea, no cut-off first or last words, and nothing that makes no sense out of context. When Opus Clip picks a bad segment, you fix the in and out points or throw the clip out.
Post the approved short-form to Instagram Reels, TikTok, and
Keep a simple tracker of what is published and what is queued.
Requirements
Real experience editing YouTube videos. Not stock-footage reels, not wedding videos. YouTube.
Links to actual published YouTube videos you edited. I will watch them. Tell me which parts were your work.
Strong English comprehension. You have to hear where a thought starts and stops to judge a clip.
Reliable internet and a machine that can handle 4K footage.
Overlap with US Central time.
Please answer these in your application
Paste 3 to 5 links to published YouTube videos you edited. For each one, say what you did on it and roughly how long it took you.
What editing software do you use, and what version? What plugins or presets do you rely on?
What do you use for thumbnails? For captions on long-form?
Have you used Opus Clip, Descript, or a similar AI clipping tool? Which one, and what do you fix by hand after it runs?

How many videos per week can you handle?
What is your rate, hourly or per video? Say which you prefer.
Monitoring policy, so there are no surprises
This is a monitored role. You will run time-tracking and screen-monitoring software during all paid hours. It records screenshots and activity while the timer is running. This is non-negotiable and applies from day one. If that is not something you are comfortable with, this is not the right job for you, and I would rather you skip applying than find out later.
Time is tracked only while you are on the clock. You start and stop the timer yourself.
Pay and terms
Paid trial project first: one long-form edit plus five shorts. If it goes well, ongoing work.
