JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented photo culler and Lightroom editor for consistent, ongoing remote work.

We photograph approximately four weddings per month, along with engagement sessions, surprise proposals, corporate events, headshots, and other portrait sessions.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who has strong visual judgment, works efficiently, communicates reliably, and can learn and consistently match our editing style.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run the initial cull through AfterShoot
• Carefully review and refine the selections manually in Photo Mechanic or similar software
• Remove images with missed focus, poor expressions, closed eyes, unnecessary duplicates, or other technical issues
• Preserve the complete story of each wedding or event
• Edit selected photographs in Lightroom
• Select and edit sneak peeks on a fast turnaround
• Upload completed galleries to Pic-Time
• Maintain organized and consistent files, folders, catalogs, and gallery names
• Follow our presets, editing examples, workflow, and delivery deadlines

• Reference galleries and examples of our editing style
• Clear workflow instructions
• Consistent ongoing work for the right person
• Feedback and training during the onboarding process

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience using Lightroom
• Experience with AfterShoot, Photo Mechanic, and Pic-Time strongly preferred
• Strong judgment when evaluating focus, expressions, duplicates, composition, and storytelling
• Wedding or event photography experience preferred
• Very fast and reliable internet for downloading and uploading large RAW photography projects
• A dependable computer capable of handling large Lightroom catalogs and RAW files
• Fast, dependable communication
• Careful attention to detail and file organization
• Ability to follow an established editing style and consistently meet deadlines

COMPENSATION

The starting rate is $5 USD per hour, with the potential for consistent ongoing work and increased responsibility based on performance, reliability, and quality.

Selected applicants may be asked to complete a small paid trial project before beginning regular work.
