YouTube Video Editor for Beauty & Lifestyle Creator — Ongoing Per-Video Work
Hi! I’m a full-time content creator looking for a talented video editor to help me grow my YouTube channel.
My content is primarily beauty, lifestyle, shopping, behind-the-scenes creator life, travel, family, and everyday vlogs. I’m looking for someone who can take my raw vlog footage and turn it into fun, engaging, polished YouTube videos that still feel natural and like me.
What I’m Looking For
I’d love to find an editor who:
* Has experience editing YouTube vlogs / lifestyle content
* Understands how to keep a video moving and make longer-form content engaging
* Has a good sense of humor, pacing and storytelling
* Can remove unnecessary or repetitive footage without losing the personality of the video
* Can add music, text, zooms, graphics, sound effects, etc. where they enhance the video
* Understands modern YouTube editing and doesn’t make videos feel overly edited or dated
* Can help create a strong opening/hook so viewers want to keep watching
* Is reliable, communicative and able to meet agreed-upon deadlines
* Bonus if you watch or understand beauty/lifestyle creators and YouTube trends!
How We’d Work
This would be freelance, ongoing work paid per completed video, rather than an hourly position.
I’d like to start with one paid trial video so we can both see if we’re a good fit. If it goes well, I’m hoping to find someone I can work with consistently and build a long-term relationship with as I increase the amount of content I’m posting on YouTube.
I will provide the raw footage and direction/context for each vlog. I want someone who can eventually learn my style and take more ownership of the edit without needing extremely detailed instructions every time.
To Apply
Please send:
1. A little about yourself and your editing experience
2. Links to 2–3 examples of YouTube/vlog-style videos you’ve edited
3. Your rate per edited YouTube video and what that rate typically includes
4. Your typical turnaround time
5. What editing software you use
IMPORTANT: Please start your application with the word “MICHELLE” so I know you read the full job post.
I’m excited to find someone creative, dependable and hopefully build a long-term working relationship!
