Wholesale Business Development Manager — Canvas Factory (Philippines, Remote)
About us
Canvas Factory is an Australian online photo-to-canvas and wall art business. We're growing a wholesale/trade arm — partnering with photographers who print through us at wholesale rates, and supplying canvas and wall art at trade pricing to hotels, property developers, stagers, and interior designers across Australia and New Zealand. We use AI-assisted tools to research prospects and send the first outreach touch; this role is where the human relationship takes over.
The role
We're looking for an experienced, high-energy Business Development Manager to drive new wholesale sales. You'll work warm leads (replies from our outreach campaigns), re-activate dormant accounts, and close new business — then hand each new customer off to our Account Manager for ongoing support, freeing you up to keep hunting for the next one.
This is a hunter role, not an order-taker role. We want someone who's energized by the chase, comfortable on the phone with people they've never spoken to, and disciplined enough not to let details slip when things get busy.
Key responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to inbound replies from our outreach campaigns (photographer wholesale partnerships and B2B trade/wall art) — qualify interest and move genuine prospects toward a sale.
Proactively call previous wholesale clients who haven't placed an order in over [X] months to re-engage them and win back repeat business.
Own the full sales cycle for new wholesale/trade accounts: qualifying, pricing conversations, objection handling, and closing.
Keep CRM records accurate and current — every call, reply, and deal stage logged properly (no lead falls through the cracks).
Once a new customer is secured, hand over a clean, complete account file to the Account Manager for ongoing support.
Flag hot leads, market feedback, and any recurring objections back to the business.
What we're looking for
Must-have:
Solid, demonstrable track record in B2B sales or business development — you can point to accounts you've personally won.
Confident, natural phone manner — genuinely comfortable cold-calling and re-engaging lapsed clients, not just handling inbound.
Excellent written and spoken English (you'll be corresponding and speaking directly with Australian and New Zealand businesses).
Strong attention to detail — accurate CRM records, no dropped follow-ups, nothing promised to a client that isn't followed through on.
Self-driven and high-energy — this role has real autonomy and we need someone who brings their own motivation, not someone who needs to be chased.
Experience with a CRM (HubSpot, Zoho, or similar) — or a fast learner if not.
Nice-to-have:
Experience selling to trade/wholesale channels, or B2B experience in print, wholesale goods, property, hospitality, or interior design.
Experience working with Australian or New Zealand clients specifically.
Hours
Full-time. We need meaningful overlap with Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT) so calls and live conversations with AU/NZ clients can actually happen during their working day — exact schedule to be confirmed with the successful candidate.
Compensation
Base: AUD $1,600/month, full-time.
Plus commission: a large, uncapped commission on each new wholesale account you close — details and exact structure to be finalized. [We'll confirm the exact % or bonus-per-account structure before this goes live — see note below.]
Tools you'll use
CRM (HubSpot or Zoho — final choice TBD), email, phone/video calling tools, and our outreach system that surfaces warm replies for you to work.
How to apply
Please send your CV along with a short note on a wholesale/B2B deal you're proud of closing and how you closed it. Include your available start date.
