JOB OVERVIEW

We are a US based accounting firm that specializes in restaurants. We are currently looking to add a senior level accountant to handle full cycle monthly accounting for a small group of clients. This position could grow to full time position with management of additional staff members. At this time we are looking for a part time employee at 15-20 hours a week. We offer fixed salary plus occasional bonuses or additional income for one time projects.

Tasks will include:
Bank, credit card, and vendor account reconciliations.
Weekly payroll runs in Gusto payroll software.
Weekly and monthly custom reports and dashboards including location performance, cash flow management, employee performance, labor & sales analysis, etc
There is very little AP and no AR in this position.
1099 tracking and request for certain vendors through our platform
All invoices and payments will be matched in QBO
Categorizing expenses that do not flow through Margin Edge
Full P&L reporting responsibility
Maintaining accurate Balance Sheet
Managing fees due from for third party delivery services (Primarily Doordash but can include Uber Eats, Grub Hub, etc) and reconciling monthly statements
Sales tax calculation and filings
Posting and clearing of intercompany transactions

The ideal candidate will have experience working with restaurant clients and be familiar with some or all of the following software platforms:
Toast Point of Sale
Aloha/NCR Point of Sale
Margin Edge for invoice categorization and inventory
Gusto for payroll
QBO
We use Double (formerly Keeper) for practice management and monthly closes
Slack
We do not do tax prep work but our financials must be CPA ready at year end and follow US GAAP accounting standards.
This is a progressive tech firm so candidates with experience using and implementing Ai processes are preferred.
Once onboard and training is complete this workload is not expected to take a full 20 hours/week to complete so we are also looking for candidates who have some secondary skills such as marketing, graphic design, etc.
This position would require at least some overlap of US working hours preferably to 12pm US Central time.
