JOB OVERVIEW

Graphic Design & Customer Service Associate

About the Role
We are looking for a versatile and highly organized Graphic Design & Customer Service Associate to support both the creative and customer service functions of a growing business.
This is a hybrid role ideal for someone who has a strong foundation in graphic design, communicates exceptionally well in writing, and enjoys learning new systems and taking on different responsibilities.
You will support recurring graphic design requirements while also assisting with order processing, customer inquiries, and day-to-day administrative tasks. The role will evolve alongside the business, so adaptability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Creative Support
Create and update recurring marketing and communications materials using established templates and brand guidelines.
Make design adjustments and prepare weekly or ongoing creative assets.
Work confidently with Adobe Creative Suite.
Use or learn Figma for existing designs and templates.
Maintain consistency across visual materials and ensure work follows established brand standards.
Collaborate with the graphic design team on creative requirements.
The client specifically identified Adobe Creative Suite as something they cannot currently train internally, while Figma and their other systems can be taught.

Customer Service & E-Commerce Support
Process customer and e-commerce orders through platforms including Shopify and other internal ordering systems.
Manage customer service tickets and general inquiries.
Assist customers with order status, stock availability, account credits, and other routine concerns.
Draft clear, professional, and thoughtful email responses.
Support administrative tasks related to order processing and customer service.
Coordinate internally through Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, video calls, and other business systems.
Customer interaction will initially be predominantly written rather than phone-based, making excellent written communication particularly important.

Must-Have Qualifications
Working knowledge and practical experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong written English communication skills.
Ability to draft professional customer emails independently.
Good eye for detail and ability to follow established brand guidelines.
Comfortable learning and navigating multiple software platforms.
Reliable computer capable of handling multiple programs and creative applications.
Comfortable working remotely and communicating through Teams, WhatsApp, and video calls.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have
Experience with Figma.
Experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform.
Previous customer service or administrative experience.
Experience managing customer support tickets.
Experience working in a remote or distributed team.
Previous e-commerce experience is not required; the client is comfortable training the right person on their systems.

Who We're Looking For
More than anything, we're looking for someone who is:
Professional, kind, and respectful
Clear and confident in their communication
Curious and genuinely willing to learn
Comfortable asking questions rather than making assumptions
Adaptable and able to take on different responsibilities as priorities change
Empathetic and thoughtful when communicating with customers
Positive and collaborative
Able to think independently and use AI as a supporting tool—not as a substitute for their own judgment
The client emphasized that rudeness, disrespect, negativity, and an unwillingness to learn are deal breakers. They value people who clarify when unsure, communicate confidently, and genuinely care about their work and customers.

What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate doesn't need to know every system on day one. Training will be progressive, with new responsibilities introduced as each area is mastered. What matters is having the creative foundation we can't teach, paired with the attitude and willingness to learn everything we can.
If you have a strong Adobe Creative Suite foundation, communicate exceptionally well, and enjoy being the kind of person who can wear different hats in a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
