JOB OVERVIEW

Hi! I'm Avigail, and I run a college essay coaching business with 31K+ followers across Instagram and ---------- create educational college admissions content for TikTok and Instagram, and I'm looking for a reliable editor who can turn talking-head footage into clean, engaging short-form videos.

Responsibilities:
- Edit vertical videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels from talking-head footage
- Every video is one CapCut build exported three ways: a clean trim, a TikTok version (+ sound effects + green screen overlays + screen recordings, no captions), and an Instagram version (+ animated captions in our brand font)
- Add strategic cuts, zooms, B-roll, and simple visual emphasis
- Match my existing editing style using a gold-standard reference video and organized asset library
- Organize project files correctly in our shared Google Drive / CapCut Teamspace
- Pair each finished export with a caption from my caption bank — use it as-is, or adapt it slightly to fit the platform/length (this may grow into full posting/publishing later — Reels to feed, resharing to Story, turning off like counts, cross-posting to TikTok — but that's not part of the role to start)
- Communicate clearly, deliver before deadlines, and make revisions quickly and accurately

Requirements:
- Expert in CapCut (non-negotiable)
- Strong short-form editing portfolio with talking-head content
- Clean, subtle sound design (soft whooshes, pops, typing sounds — not trending-audio chaos)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable internet and editing setup
- Clear written English
- Ability to complete a paid test edit within 48 hours
- Comfortable signing an NDA — my business involves student privacy and I take it seriously

How this role works:
Starting part-time: 4 hours/day, 5 days/week, at $5–6/hour (roughly $433–520/month) while we establish footage volume and consistency. After a successful 2-week paid trial, we'll reassess — hours can grow to 6/day, and rate is revisited after 30 days based on completed videos, revision rate, and deadline adherence.
