JOB OVERVIEW

AI VIDEO PRODUCER & EDITOR - GERMAN MARKET CAT SUPPLEMENT BRAND
Remote | Part-time, growing | Start: ASAP | $5 per hour

READ THIS FIRST

This job post is long and this application will take you 30 to 45 minutes. That is on purpose.

I am hiring ONE person. I would rather get 5 serious applications than 200 lazy ones. If you send the same message to 40 job posts a day, close this now - you will not get through.

But please do not be scared off either. You will not be inventing anything. You get the script, the product photos, the reference ad, the format specs, and every single tool paid for by me. What you need is to already be good at this and to deliver on time.

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

THE MOST IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT - READ BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE

You must already be able to do this work today.

I am not hiring someone to train. I am not hiring someone who wants to learn AI video generation on my account and on my time. I am hiring someone who is already producing AI video ads right now, in production, for real brands or for their own offers.

And you must apply with a PORTFOLIO. Links to actual finished videos you made yourself.

No portfolio, no reply. That is not a threat, it is just how I will sort through the applications. If your work is not linked in your message, I will never see it and I will never ask for it.

Tutorials, test renders and course projects are not a portfolio. Neither is an agency reel where you cannot tell me which part was yours. I want to see finished ads or finished videos that went out into the world.

ABOUT US

We run a cat supplement brand on Shopify, selling to Germany, Austria and Switzerland (the DACH market). We are doing six figures per month and we scale with paid ads on Facebook and Instagram.

Every ad we run is produced with AI. No film crew, no studio, no actors, no shipping products to creators. That is the whole model, and it is why this role exists.

THE BIG IDEA - WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS MORE THAN A NORMAL EDITING JOB

Right now our creative output is the bottleneck. Not the budget, not the product, not the audience - the number of finished ads we can put in front of people.

That is a strange and very specific problem to have: we can fund more ad spend than we can produce ads for. In paid advertising, creatives burn out. An ad that prints money today is tired in three weeks, and if there is nothing new to replace it, the whole account cools down.

So the number of ads you deliver is not a production statistic. It is the ceiling on how big this brand can get. That is the job.

This is a doer role, not a manager role. You produce. Nobody reports to you and you do not build a team. If that changes later, it changes because you made it obvious that it should.

WHAT YOU WILL PRODUCE

You must be able to produce all of these yourself, from a script I write:

- AI UGC ads - a generated person on camera talking about the product, with their cat
- VSL and advertorial cuts - longer sales videos cut to a script, with captions and B-roll
- Cartoon, claymation and stylized animation - cat content that is not photoreal
- 1:1 rebuilds of winning ads - we hand you an ad that already works and you rebuild it exactly, changing one variable. Same structure, same pacing, same feel, different hook or different actor.
- The cut itself - burned-in German captions, clean sans-serif, inside the safe zone, hook in the first two seconds, no dead air, exported to spec, vertical 9:16

About the 1:1 rebuilds, because this is where people drop out: if the reference has a cut on beat four, your version has a cut on beat four. "Close enough" is not a delivery. If you need creative freedom to stay motivated, you will not enjoy this role - and we would both rather find that out now.

THE GERMAN PART - AND WHY IT IS NOT A PROBLEM

Our ads are in German. You do not need to speak a word of German.

I write every script. I give it to you finished, in German. You generate the voiceover from my text, you burn in the captions from my text, and you cut it.

What I do need is that you are careful with a language you do not speak. That means: no dropped umlauts, no autocorrect quietly turning my words into something else, no captions cut off mid-word because you could not tell where the sentence ends. You copy what I send you exactly, character for character, and when the caption text and the voiceover do not match, you tell me instead of guessing.

People who have edited in a foreign language before know exactly what I mean. It is not hard - it is just attention.

STOP. READ THIS PART CAREFULLY.

Here is the first filter:

The very first word of your application message must be MANGO.

Not in the middle. Not at the end. The first word, on its own line, before anything else. Like this:

MANGO

Hi Erik, ...

If your message does not start with MANGO, I will not read it - no matter how good your portfolio is. This is not a joke and I will not make an exception. Most applicants will fail this, and that is fine.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND COMMUNICATION

This is the part I care about most, so I am going to be very clear.

I am not looking for someone who never has a problem. Everybody gets sick. Power goes out. Family emergencies happen. Typhoons happen. I have zero problem with any of that.

What I have a problem with is silence.

If you are ill, if your internet dies, if a render fails and the delivery will be late - send me one message. Before the deadline, not after it. That is all I ask, and if you do it, we will always find a solution together.

Going quiet on a delivery is the one thing that ends this immediately. Not because I am strict, but because I plan ad launches around your delivery date and I cannot plan around someone I have to chase.

Beyond that, I expect three things:

- You ask before you produce. When a brief is unclear, you ask first, instead of delivering five wrong ads and then explaining them.
- You flag what will not work. If a script cannot be built visually, tell me before you start, not after the render.
- You work independently. You do not need to be reminded or micromanaged.

WHAT YOU MUST BRING (hard requirements - no exceptions)

1. A PORTFOLIO. Links to 2-3 finished videos or ads you made yourself. Own work only. This is requirement number one and there is no way around it.

2. 2+ years producing or editing short-form video, and at least the last year of it working with AI-generated footage.

3. You have shipped AI video in production - for clients, for a brand, or for your own offers. Not tutorials, not test renders. I want to see the actual videos.

4. Hands-on with a serious AI generation stack of your choice, and the judgment to know when a generation is unusable and has to be redone instead of shipped. Which tools you use is up to you - I pay for them either way.

5. CapCut or Premiere Pro for the cut, your pick, as long as the output is consistent.

6. Comfortable working with AI voiceover (ElevenLabs or similar), including voices in a language you do not speak.

7. Conversational English, spoken and written.

8. Reliable internet and a machine that can actually handle video work.

9. Willing to sign a freelance contract and a short NDA before you get access to our assets.

10. Willing to do a short unpaid test task before we get on a call. It is small - roughly one to two hours of work - and it is the same thing you would do on the job.

BONUS (not required, but it moves you to the top of my list)

- You have produced paid ads before, not just organic content
- Experience in the pet niche - cats especially
- After Effects
- You have edited in a language you do not speak
- Music-driven ads, avatar ads, Disney-style or claymation animation
- You have built your own generation workflow and can explain why it is faster than the obvious one

THE TOOLS - I PAY FOR EVERYTHING

I pay for every tool account, every subscription and every generation credit. You never spend your own money on this job, and you never pay for a credit out of your own pocket.

Which AI generation tool you produce in is your choice. If you are fast in Higgsfield, use Higgsfield. If your stack is Veo, Kling, Sora, Midjourney, Runway or something I have not heard of yet, use it and tell me why it is better. Same for the cut - CapCut or Premiere, whatever you are fastest in.

What I care about is the finished ad, not the software. Tell me in your application what you need and I will buy it.

Voiceover runs through ElevenLabs or comparable. Communication runs on WhatsApp and email. Files live in a shared drive with a fixed folder structure and naming convention.

WHAT I PROVIDE

- Every tool, every subscription and every generation credit, fully paid
- The script for every ad - you never write copy, and you never have to write in German
- Product photos, existing footage, brand assets and reference ads, so "done" is never a guess
- Format specs, so you always know what correct looks like
- One revision round per delivery, with specific feedback, not vague feedback
- Direct access to me. No account manager, no layers.

WORKING HOURS AND WHERE THIS ROLE IS GOING

- 100% remote, from anywhere in the Philippines
- The work is asynchronous. No shift, no fixed working hours, no being on call. You get a brief, you deliver by the agreed date, and how you organize your day is your business.
- No overlap with my time zone required. I am in Europe. You will not be asked to work nights.
- Right now: roughly 10 to 15 hours per week. It depends on how much we are testing. I am not going to pretend this is a fixed 40-hour job today.
- Where this is going: we are scaling and creative volume is our bottleneck, so the hours grow. The plan is to grow this into a much bigger role for the right person - more hours, more responsibility, more pay.
- One fixed 30-minute call per week, camera on. We agree on the day and time together once you start, and then it stays there. That is where we go through what landed, what did not, what you need from me, and what I want produced next. I give direct feedback and I expect you to use it. I also expect you to tell me when a brief is bad or a spec makes no sense. That call goes both ways.
- English is our working language.

HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED

1. Finished videos delivered per week
2. Turnaround time per delivery - agreed date, hit every time
3. Revision rounds per video - target: one or fewer
4. Spec compliance - correct format, safe zone, captions, naming, folder
5. German text accuracy - captions and voiceover exactly as I sent them
6. Communication - I always know where you are

COMPENSATION (all amounts in USD)

$5 per hour, for the hours you actually work, tracked.

At 10 to 15 hours per week that is roughly $200 to $320 per month today - and both the hours and the rate grow as we scale. I move people up when they earn it. I have never lost a great person over money and I do not plan to start.

Also included:

- Paid twice a month, on time, via Wise or PayPal
- Every tool, subscription and generation credit paid by me
- Bonuses when the business does well - when we grow, you grow
- Paid Philippine public holidays
- 13th month bonus after one full year
- Freelance contract and NDA
- Long-term position - I want one person who gets faster every month, not a one-off gig

One honest note: at today's hours this is a part-time income. If you currently work with another client, that is completely fine with me, as long as my deliveries are on time. As we scale, this role is meant to become your main one.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply here through OnlineJobs.ph. Do not email me - I read everything in this system and nowhere else.

Start your message with MANGO on its own line. Then answer all 6 questions. Be specific - vague answers are the fastest way to get rejected.

1. YOUR PORTFOLIO. Links to 2-3 videos or ads YOU made. Own work only - no agency reels, no team projects, no "I was part of the team that". For each one: which tools you used, which parts were AI-generated, and what exactly your part was. If there are no links in your message, I will not reply.

2. YOUR AI WORK SPECIFICALLY. Which AI generation tools do you produce in today, and what have you actually shipped with them? Pick one AI video you linked above and walk me through how you made it - what you generated, what failed, and what you had to redo.

3. YOUR SPEED AND YOUR SETUP. How many finished 15-second vertical ads can you produce in one working day, starting from a script? A real number, not "many". Which cutting program do you use, what computer do you work on, and what is your internet speed?

4. FOREIGN LANGUAGE. You will build ads in German from my scripts. You do not need to speak German. Tell me: how do you make sure captions in a language you do not speak end up 100% correct on screen - no missing letters, no cut-off words, no mismatch with the voiceover? Have you edited in a language you do not speak before? Which one?

5. YOUR SITUATION. When can you start? How many hours per week can you commit right now? Are you okay with $5 per hour with tracked hours, and with a short unpaid test task before we get on a call? What tools would you want me to pay for?

6. A 60-SECOND RECORDING OF YOURSELF SPEAKING ENGLISH. Loom, a voice message, an unlisted YouTube link, whatever is easiest. Introduce yourself and walk me through one of the videos you linked. No production, no script, no editing - phone camera or just audio is completely fine, and I mean that. This is the one thing you send me that is not supposed to look produced. I am not judging your setup or your confidence on camera. I want to hear how you speak English.

Applications that do not start with MANGO, or that skip any of the 6 questions, or that have no portfolio links, will not be reviewed. I am strict about this on purpose - following a brief exactly is the single most important part of this job.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

1. I read your application and look at your portfolio
2. Short unpaid test task on a real brief - one finished ad, about one to two hours of work. I send you the script, the assets and the specs.
3. Video call in English, camera on, with the people whose test task convinced me
4. Hire, first paid deliveries, then we review the rate

I keep the number of test tasks small on purpose, so if you get there, you are already a serious candidate.

I read every application that follows the instructions, and I reply fast.

If this sounds like you, apply today. I am hiring one person and I am hiring quickly.
