JOB OVERVIEW

We build custom camper vans and cargo trailer conversions in Encinitas, CA. Sprinters, ProMasters, Transits. Real shop, real builds, and a lot of good footage that nobody has time to edit.

We are looking for one editor to turn our raw shop footage into short vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. This is ongoing work, not a one-off project. If it goes well it continues indefinitely.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

- Turning raw phone footage from our shop into 12 to 16 finished vertical videos per month
- Videos are 20 to 45 seconds, 9:16, edited for sound-off viewing
- Cutting for a strong opening, burned-in subtitles, clean pacing
- Light color correction so shop lighting looks consistent
- Applying our brand colors and logo the same way every time
- Sending each batch back with the project files
- Writing one line per video saying what is in it, so we can write the post text

The subtitles inside the video are yours, and your software will generate most of them from the audio. The text that goes under the post is ours. You do not need to know anything about vans. You need to be able to look at ten minutes of footage of someone installing a cabinet and find the thirty seconds that are interesting.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- You have edited vertical short-form video before and can show us
- CapCut, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. We do not care which one
- Subtitles that are readable on a phone
- You reply to messages within one working day
- Reliable internet and a machine that can actually handle video

WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR

- Heavy transitions, whoosh sound effects, stock music that fights the footage
- Anyone who needs the whole month planned out for them

THE DETAILS

- $400 to $700 USD per month depending on experience
- Around 10 hours a week, flexible. We do not need you online at US hours
- Paid through Wise, monthly
- We start with one paid test video ($30 USD) before anyone commits to anything
